This forum is discussing ADISC with other ADISCers.

We value your feedback, and your suggestions have been a powerful force in shaping ADISC for the better.

With power, however, comes responsibility.

So, we ask you to be especially responsible in this forum - with regard to what you say, and how you act.

Here are some examples:

  1. Questions
    • If you are going to ask a question about how the site works, try first searching the FAQ.
    • 90% of questions can be answered in two minutes simply by doing a quick search.
  2. Reporting Bugs/Glitches
    • If you are going to report a bug or glitch with the site, please ensure that you alert the person who is responsible for that part of the site.
    • If you're not sure who the staff are, or which areas they're responsible for, you can find out on the ADISC Staff List page.
    • Doing this ensures that these threads are not lost, and that problems are properly monitored until they are resolved.
  3. Suggestions
    • If you are going to make a suggestion as to how to improve the site, check with a staff member first, via the requests forum, that it is possible to implement this suggestion. Otherwise, you may set yourself up for disappointment, building a big thread of people who support the idea, only to found out all that effort was wasted because, unknown to you, it was not possible in the first place.
    • If you are going to make a social suggestion about how our community should work differently, it is probably best if you discuss it with a staff member (e.g: me) before posting it.
    • This also applies (even more strongly) if your suggestion is about a hot button topic, like the DC+ requirements, how rep/negrep work, how we should treat newbies, or any other topic you have noticed being discussed heatedly. If you want to make a suggestion in that regard, please bring it up with the staff first, via the requests forum.
    • Remember, things are the way they are for a reason. We're open to changing things, but please consider things from the staff's point of view, as well as your own. For example, if you have a problem that only the staff can help you with, then you should contact us about it (via PM or the requests forum), rather than posting here. This goes double for anything involving reputation.
    • Remember, dwelling on the negative only leads to more negativity. If you have an axe to grind, discuss the problem with a staff member, via the requests forum, before you even consider creating a thread here. Take constructive steps. Everyone, including you, will be better off for it.
    • We make every effort to listen to your suggestions. If you think you've found a serious problem with the site, don't wait for us to find your thread about it in the forum - contact one of us via PM, and we'll investigate. :)
