Nerve degradation thanks to slowly worsening medical issues. To make my life more interesting, I also have Nocturnal Polyuria ( kidneys overproduce urine while I sleep ).
Yes I have to wear very heavy protection every night .

My bedwetting came back in my late 40's due to diabetic related nerve problems. I was a nightly bedwetter until my late teens and still wet more often than not until my early 20's. During my adult life I have wet on and off but had been dry for a long spell before it came back for good this time.

In one month the following answer will apply:

Moderate urethral sphincterotomy which should cause nighttime leakage in order to remove pain from overstimulated sphincter nerve each time there's a buildup in the bladder.
Surgery was authorized as alternative treatment for DSD. Waiting until covid-19 lockdown is lifted.

I developed bladder-control issues as the result of a surgical mishap when I was 14 years old. I’m 78 now; and I‘ve been a frequent bedwetter ever since that incident. In addition, I’ve needed to wear a diaper 24/7 for the past 30 years or so.

I regularly wet the bed till about age 9 and then regressed back to it in my 20’s. At first accidental after drinking, I welcomed, even encouraged, the return.

I am talking with my Dr next week, may I ask how they determined that its related to kidneys? Ultrasound?

.
"Nocturia" can be several different issues ( or a combination of issues ) . Often times not even a good urologist can figure it out .
I ended up with the generic diagnosis "kidneys overproduce urine at night" which is basically a non-answer. I do not have the money to see a specialist for further testing or treatment .

Word of advice: going to bed dehydrated is *NOT* a good idea, as it can lead to many other medical issues down the road.

Thanks.

Next week I'm having a phone call with my doctors office nurse practitioner. I am going against the ABDL rules but I have thought about this for nearly two years.

My wife HATES HATES HATES diapers and my marriage is in deep trouble. She thinks I have night time dribbling issues because I used to wear diapers for fun in my 20s, she doesn't know I still wear diapers today. My diaper desire is strong and I cannot shake it.

I do not have night time dribbling issues, I've wet the bed a few times because my diaper leaked (I sneak into bed padded sometimes, Ill wake at night and use my diaper).

So, I have decided to say to my Dr "My wife has encouraged me to talk with you about my dribbling at night, I don't think this call is necessary because I've had dribble issues for decades, it's not becoming worse, but my wife hates it, i do not want to take medication and I am managing my dribbling just fine"

I know this is frowned upon but it's this or I come clean to my wife about my ABDL, she will divorce if I come clean.

I'm hoping to come out of this and say I spoke with Dr, its unusual at my age but no concern, contact Dr if it gets worse, not worth coming in for tests with COVID so bad....

I'll feel more confident when I say I will wear Goodnites to bed for the dribble. She already knows I own Super Undies.

That’s just the opposite of what your body is supposed to do isn’t it? From what I understand that you’re not supposed to produce as much urine while sleeping and though I wasn’t diagnosed as a child I was a bed wetter and now suspect that with as much as I used to wet that I may have had the condition you suffer from back then. Even though my parents tried to restrict my evening liquid intake it seemed to have little affect on when and how much I wet.

Unrelated to the topic. I see Zeke must really like that refrigerator. He's at an unhealthy weight. I have had several labs and know the drill.

That’s Zane. He was my friend for many years but passed away a few years ago, and you’re right he was a bit large. He weighed 154 pounds but wasn’t really very fat, just big. The lady I got him from had back surgery and couldn’t handle him anymore. She said it was almost like giving up one of her kids. She had photos of his litter and his paws were half again as big as his siblings so it was obvious he was going to be a big dog. Zeke was my nickname many years ago but Zane’s more photogenic than I am so I used his photo.

I started developing bed wetting again a couple of years ago. It seems mostly stress related as when it started I was in a horrible place. It was almost every night (was wearing Tranquility ATN to bed) and didn’t stop until I got out of that situation.
Now I still wear to bed but not every night, I can tell the nights where I might have an accident. This is from a lifetime of worrying about wetting the bed and just knowing my body.

I always have been and is why I had diapers to try being ABDL, one day I just thought to try it and after that did not go back.

I developed a form of bedwetting in my early 30's, it was usually dependent on me being diapered and drunk, but it grew past that and eventually I had to wear diapers at night, I stopped drinking alcohol and still had wetting issues, but I was on pain pills at the time. Then I got hurt, fell 30 feet and had a brain injury. I was fine in the hospital I think, but first night home I soaked the bed, it was a challenging time, I had only one good arm to try to put a diaper on, I even asked my friend for help, he thankfully said NO WAY. I figured out how to do the tapes and then for 6 years I wore to bed every night and even without pain meds I was wetting in my sleep. At some point I got tired of it and switched to cloth at night and stopped the bedwetting. I then took a 2 year break from being little or wearing diapers, I had figured out why I liked diapers from age 3 and it kinda made me sad. I got over it, last week was the anniversary of the day I got hurt and I was trying to spit myself so I gave myself permission to wear one of the disposables in my stash, and wet it. I had forgotten just how damn good diapers are, thing is, I think its best for my own mental health to go back to at least wearing to bed. I have not slept well, or regular bedtime type of hours in about 2 years, the entire time I denied myself the self care that diapers and being little give me. I have to just accept that I am at heart, a little boy who feels safer in his diapers. I am an adult too, and I do adult stuff and like I said I went two full years denying myself any time to be little, and I didn't think I really missed it, I was annoyed at how much money I wasted on portable potties. I have not woken up wet yet, though I kinda did one morning, but I am pretty sure I woke up at 7 am and wet and then went back to sleep. With the plague, public restrooms scare me, I have been finding bushes behind buildings to pee, but I think from now on I will be diapered when I do venture out into public, like to go shopping.
Be careful what you ask for, I know the joy of waking up wet, and feeling very baby like, but it is kinda overrated to be honest, do not hurt yourself. Don't drink alcohol to induce wetting, it's not good for you, and it can lead to alcohol abuse. If anything just train yourself to pee lying down, and wear the proper diapers.

Mine is cause by a medical screwup not a medical mistake, how does the pain clinic destroy one’s S1 nerve cluster and I can’t sue because it was the VA hospital before you could sue. I’m totally incontinent due to their mistake

I have were the bed on and off since I was 18 till now .. I'm 26 now some times it was accidentally, always after drinking its would happen even if I was not asleep 😑 I wear diapers to bed every night now tho some times I wake up wet or half way threw wetting my self. Some times if I wake up and have to pee I will wet my diaper on purpose tho and just go back to sleep.
