I couldn't agree more.
Nicely said, the only think I've thought about lately is the government says its bad to use single used plastics, but 50% of all consumer packaging is plastic...Nowididit said:Like an island nation of 300k ppl is gonna make a difference in a world of 8.1bil ppl. Give me a break already.
As I walk thru the grocery stores and see all the plastics being used I truly believe disposable diapers are not the main issue here. We are in a society that is now demanding more single serve products than ever. From single serve fruit cups to ball point pens. I challenge anyone to just look around when they are shopping and see all the plastic packaging. Disposable diapers are just a drop in the bucket.
2 prime examples of single serve items that come to mind are KCups and bottled water.
Anyone ever notice the more some ppl scream about environmental waste the more unnecessary and environmentally damaging products are produced?
They are so many ways to cut the over use of plastics, disposable diapers shouldn't even be part of that thought process.⬇️
I remember reading somewhere that they have developed biodegradable plastics. If a biodegradable absorbent gel were ever developed, eventually, landfills would see less and less disposable diapers that wouldn't break down until no one make disposable diapers that weren't completely biodegradable. I believe that we will be able to purchase such diapers in the near future. I'm strictly old fashioned pin on style cotton diapers but I would like to see that happen for all my fellow ABDL baby girls and boys out there.MikeDJ said:But then where does it stop? Theres essentially plastic in everything. Tons of plastic packaging in just about everythingn styrofoam in all the dumpsters. Micro plastics in all the clothing that is now in the oceans. So then will there be bans on all that stuff too?? I thought there was a type of plastic that breaks down. It was like the plastic on diapers or shopping bags. They are going to have to ban a heck of a lot more than just diapers to curb plastics.
You forgot to include the hundreds of millions of actual little babies who already wear disposables. Make inexpensive, fully biodegradable diapers for real babies and adult babies will be able to enjoy wearing and using them too.Nowididit said:Like an island nation of 300k ppl is gonna make a difference in a world of 8.1bil ppl. Cost will eventually come down. High speed robotics will make it possible.Rob110 said:They is biodegradable plastics they can use but the cost is about 3 x the existing plastics so there is an alternative unfortunately disposable diapers are the best option especially for adults as changing a cloth diaper in public places would be a pain not to mention dealing with wet diapers storage wise
Fully biodegradable Pampers that are even more absorbent is in the future.Pamperboy2022 said:I love my DISPOSABLE PAMPERS!!!! DONT CHANGE A THING!!! I WANT TO BE IN DISPOSABLE DIAPERS FOREVER!!!!
As someone who lives in California, I'm sure they'll impliment some more effective ways of banning plastic here. If plastic backed diapers were banned here, I wouldn't know what to do. How much money could I dump into one last purchase?Nowididit said:Like an island nation of 300k ppl is gonna make a difference in a world of 8.1bil ppl. Give me a break already.
