Would like to know the difference between before and after and if the new capacity made a huge change.

Capacity did increase. I ordered XL safari. Was sort of disappointed with tape width and placement. I figured the tapes would be like critter caboose. They are similar but spaced closer together and not as wide. Made the fit off just a bit. When the tapes are wider and spaced farther apart, like on the caboose, you can get a more snug fit. I feel the caboose leaves you a bit drier feeling. In my opinion, that’s a good thing. The mega safari does hold a lot, but overall wicking is still an issue with these higher capacity diapers. Definitely better that non mega safari’s.

I tried a sample (2) of the Mega Safari. I love the softness of the inside and the baby print but for some reason Rearz just fit me kinda
funny and I have tried different sizes. I'll stick with my boosted Betterdry or Crinklz.

I can’t wait for ABDL and high end IC diapers to incorporate better wicking layers or channeling designs. It’s almost like someone should develop a wicking “booster” that has pockets of SAP to form barriers and quilted channels to distribute fluid, marketed to get the most out of your super-ultra-hyper-elite-capacity ABDL diapers. In fact, it could be shown to increase the rated capacity. “The ABDL diaper booster that won’t help your little learn math, because with Soaker-Helper, 1+1=3”.

I’ve also played with the idea of impermeable “flaps” of plastic through the diaper pad. Once one layer is saturated, it takes a certain wetness height to reach the next pocket of SAP.

seems to me that a lot of the companys are moving tapes closer together, I hate that, i always leak unless i lay tapes on top of each other, what is going on, maybe have to go back to cloth!

Just finished using my first Critter Caboose and I have to say it was amazing. I’m not usually one for super capacity diapers but I am thoroughly impressed with the diapers ability to absorb and avoid press out. If I wasn’t intentionally trying to max out the diaper I could see these lasting me for about 10-12 hours easy.

However as with all high capacity diapers, baby powder is super important. Otherwise the smell can be bad.

I have some mega safari's I'm trying this weekend since the didn't have the others I wanted in that type yet. They do hold more, but I am not a fan of the print of the safari's. I really like being able to judge where the tapes are to center them more, and this pattern has no marks to help with that. I've been resorting to putting my own centering marks with a marker (which helps!).

The one I just changed out of definitely felt heavier than I remember getting one without boosters before. It still had plenty of padding left to soak too, it was just a convenient time to change!

I hope ABU keeps up with the capacity war here soon and increases their much better printed designs (plus I prefer cloth backed and hook/loop).
