What's the point in going on here with your phone? I doubt you would miss that much if you didn't go on it all the time

Well, depends on the phone. If it was a smartphone or blackberry, then yes, awesome! If it's a small, normal phone that supports web browsing...that would be tediously annoying and purely for bragging rights :p

It takes about 7 seconds to load up ADISC, but it handles everything rather nicely.

Being that NORMALLY, I'm at college all the time and blatantly having ADISC on the screen is way out of question, something like my phone having it (Sony Erricson Cybershot 850i or something like that, never been big on phones) is somewhat conveniant. Nice to see how the pages are compacted down as well for such a small screen.

He just said he's at college almost all of the time and that he can't be on ADISC often....

Still though...I think you should be paying more attention to college than some website...

Do you really need to be on ADISC all the time?
Yes...GOD, YES!!!!

...when I was in school with my laptop and campus wifi I would have ADISC (or TBDL, actually) open all the time :p

I once accessed this site from my mobile and in the 10 minutes I got to browse here, it chewed through my last $15 of credit. O_O

Being in college doesn't mean you should never, ever have any time to yourself to do what you want. I mean, sure, you have to work to do well, but it shouldn't be the only thing you do. That's too stressful. Everyone deserves at least a little bit of free time out of the day.

I have free web access on my plan! *does the happy dance* Although too be honest internet on my phone only ever gets used to a) Use an online directory b) Use MSN c) PORNOS!

Ok so maybe not C but its pretty limited use really. Mobile T.V I'd like though that would be at least entertaining during boring family or sporting events. And yes I'm that anti-social :p

I'm in an interesting situation:

1) 3, Laptop via HSDPA data modem - No problems. Displays and functions fine, the modem provides for up to 4mbits and I normally get at least 3mbits.

2) 3, UMTS Mobile - This is peculiar; i'm not sure if it's a Restricted Content issue, but i'm assuming not as i'd normally get a message on screen about it, but it just, does, nothing. There's a long timeout while it's waiting for the server, then the impression that something is being done, then a nice blank white screen. :-S

3) Vodafone, UMTS Mobile - Works fine, if a bit slowly (Vodafone's data coverage is not good, especially compared to 3's) now that i've had the Restricted Content thing removed.

Both my mobiles (3 contract, Vodafone prepaid) were sold by default with an annoying Content Restriction; basically, anything vaguely adult or sexual in nature was inaccessible. Oddly enough, this didn't apply to my 3 HSDPA data modem. I finally got around to having it removed on my Vodafone mobile, but haven't done so on my 3 mobile yet - which is absurd - i'm a contract customer, why should it be on there in the first place? I have to be 18 to get the contract, and they do check as part of the process!

In any case, before I had it removed from Vodafone, I couldn't access it. Therefore, Vodafone's Content Rating system regards Adisc as either pornographic, violent, profane, or disturbing - the kind of basis they use for it.

Strange world.
