Just got in my two sample packs from XPMedical fairly quick (Definitely recommend them for anyone looking for discreetly shipped items). Tried out the original plastic backed one for about 12 hours and wow, these things just continue to gobble up liquids! When I first opened the box I was surprised at just how big these things are when they are folded!

So far I've used one Original xplus and one original super, although the super does soak up alot it doesn't last nearly as long as the Xplus. Both aren't very noticeable under some loose pants size wise until you start to soak them, then you got this kind of bulge going on. Noise wasn't too bad, under loose fitting pants theres a slight crinkle which is noticeable in a quiet room and definitely noticeable if wearing PJ's.

Now my one gripe so far isn't the tapes really, so far those haven't pissed me off yet but actually after about a second heavy wetting the gel in the front starts to become soaked but the bottom and rear of the diaper still stay dry. On the 3rd wetting the leg cuffs became a little damp but not really leaking. Was wondering if this is normal and if the bottom/back of the diaper actually ever get used if just wetting or does it only primarily stick in the front. Still a great diaper for sure just makes me a little nervous after awhile considering how much it bulks up in the front but not so much on the bottom or back.

But anyway, for those who haven't tried the Abena's yet I suggest you order yourself a sample pack from XPMedical. It's not as bad as you think (unless of course your parents intercept your mail and open it), paypal or money order works fine :D

Thanks for the review, as of now I can't mail order diaper supplies often because while my dad won't open my mail, he does want to know what it is out of curiosity. But I deffinatly will consider trying those in the future.

I've always been a big fan of Abris... the X-plus is a great diaper... super thick... super thirsty...

Being a guy the front of the diaper will definately be wetter than the rest if you are using it for #1 only... that's the way these things work... but after a while the front padding will be soaked and it will start to run down the middle more.

I haven't had an X-plus leak on me... but I have had a few actually start to "weep" through the plastic once they get really really full.

If you like them but want something with better tapes... try Secure X-plus or Bambino. The 3 diapers are very similar in comfort and absorption. (actually I find the Bambinos a bit more comfy)

Try laying on your back to pee, that a way, it absords everywhere, and keeps it even. It absorbs more that way.

Good review!

Good review!

That works sometimes... and sometimes spells disaster...

and even after years of trying... it still takes me a while to be able to pee while on my back...

Agreed. They are huge. but I think too huge for my tastes. I found that they were wasted most of the time.

BTW, I used KCKMedical and they were the cheapest I've seen and also shipped discreetly. just an erm FYI for future buyers.

Well, not TOTALLY on your back, more like propped up slightly, like slouched down in a chair or something.. but if the diaper is on right, it shouldn't leak, but I definently wouldn't power pee like that..

Really nice review dude. I also order from XPMedical, they are really good, they got to my house in 3 days, counting the day I ordered them! I was like whoa, it caught me off gaurd haha, I did not even think it was my package at first. Anyways I might have to get me a sample pack when I get my taxes back! :D

Just tried both the super and xplus airplus and I must say they aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be. They're somewhat quieter than the plastic backed ones, definitely more suited for low/no noise environments. Felt fine wearing one of the airplus ones all day around my family although the plastic made too much of a crinkle when there was no ambient noise ;). DEFINITELY breathe better at night, literally you forget it's on there sometimes with how much cooler you stay (same could be said with the plastic backed ones if its wet of course ;) ).

They both have their pro's and con's for sure and for xplus vs super it's also obvious. For some odd reason I found the super fitted easier around the thighs than the xplus. In the end they are all great of course I'd love to see a diaper that held over a gallon or two without leaking as even an xplus will only last me about 12 hours before its completely soaked assuming I am active and drinking water (I go through easily 5 20OZ bottles of water a day plus a few glasses of pepsi)

Super: Really discreet
SuperAir: Extremely discreet, great for high humidity/heat area's

Xplus: Holds lots, kinda bulky to sleep in at night for me
XplusAir: Very comfortable at night, discreet but the noticeable bulge in your pants is a dead give away if you've wet it a few times
