So I want to start my own company some day, and I’ve been thinking about how to go about this ethically so we can grow the business to be sustainable and keep it there, and not pursue the endless profits that major corporations expect. And it lead me to a realization about some major trends coming up, and how most major companies are forced to work based off shareholder interest and that need for their return on investment. Once you get to a certain point you are pretty much required to go down all viable avenues for business to make money. I’m not sure how locked into this scenario Huggies and Pampers are, because honestly by writing this out I’ve realized their parent companies have a lot more going on than just making diapers all day.
But in a world where they are out of options they might have to pursue making larger diaper sizes, and invariantly contributing to the production of better products for ABDLs.
I have a feeling that goodnites XLs have been selling really well for P&G and that a significant portion of profits have been from ABDLs, not just their usual market. And someone has had to have noticed the major uptick in sales on that front. I would hope they would lean into it.
What do ya’ll think?
