So I found an old thread about building an adult baby bouncer. I've tried a bunch of different methods and most have failed. Now I think I have part of a solution...but I'm having trouble when it comes to the seat part. I did what the people in the thread said and got a EvenFlo Johnny Jump Up but was completely unsuccessful at squeezing into it...

Any suggestions on how to find/make a baby door bouncer that will fit an ABDL like me? ^~^U

The best commercial product is the Haba "Airy Fairy" baby/toddler swing. They're a bit pricey but nothing else really compares.

There are other options as well. Google "merry muscles," there is a "special needs" version of that thing which is a bit bigger, which I have not personally tried. I did buy the baby version and scale it up (trace, scan, enlarge, print, cut out, sew...) the Haba swing still beats it.

Climbing / safety harnesses are a tempting option but they are NOT the same at all.

I did have some luck modifying a windsurfing harness, still not the best -- and you can also remove the seat from one of the frame-type backpack baby carriers, some of them are quite roomy.

Thanks for he info! Yeah I found an airy fairy on Amazon and man it's expensive! At that price I'm having to choose between a baby bouncer and a new 500GB SSD for my computer...Very tough choice...

I found the "youth sized" merry muscles and man...that's like wayyyyy expensive.

Hmm...I may have to either save up for an airy fairy or try building one of my own...
Any tips on building your own harness?

the short answer would be 'no' as your head is just going to bash against the top of the doorframe. okay, so maybe you can position it elsewhere, with greater headroom?
if so, making the seat/harness is just a straightforward upscaling of the baby ones, but bearing in mind that you also have to upscale the thicknesses of materials, not just their size-by-area. nylon webbing is easy to come by, but nylon woven fabric, of a suitable thickness, is a bit harder; suitable fabric would be as in heavy-duty/decent quality/old school rucksacks, or you could always use a sturdy canvass or leather (synthetic or natural).
a decently thick nylon thread should be used for sewing the parts together,

a simple running stitch will do, with the loadbearing portions patterned as a square-and-x; you'll get the idea if look at a car seatbelt or a doglead.
sewing such heavy duty materials by hand is a bit tricky, sometimes painful and sometimes bloody. a pair of pliers, electrical snips or strudy scissors can be used for handling the needle. but wear a thimble, too. leather specialists will use a tool for pre-holing the leather to allow the needle and thread to pass through; this isn't really suitable for woven nylon or canvass, though. i'm assuming that you're familiar with handsewing, but if not, learn beforehand and work your way up to the thicker and harder stuff.

a basic seat could also be fashioned out of certain types of plastics and then simply covered in padding and material to suit.

i'd be wary of a harnessing type that goes around the thigh for a bouncing use as there is the risk of pinching your knackers between either sides of the harness. i'll let that thought dwell with you

oh, aye, nearly forgot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_trauma

I wouldn't even think about trying to sew one of these things by hand... that's a lie. I thought about it once. I gave that thought up REAL quick.

A used sewing machine can be had at a thrift store fairly cheap - mine was $15 at the local goodwill.

I did see your question, I just don't have a whole lot to offer right now, as I am still perfecting my seat design. I am convinced that the Merry Muscles is the one to imitate, but I haven't gotten it quite right yet. Adults' bodies are shaped a little bit different than babies', we're not literally just scaled up, so some things that work great for an infant don't pan out so well with simple linear scaling.

You can be sure that, when I get it right, there will be a post on here about it.

*sigh*...Looks like this is going to be a lot harder than I thought...Oh well... T_T
