Got lucky this christmas and got a $100 pre paid credit card. I'm definitely going to spend some of it on diapers but I'm torn about which ones to buy. Just fyi these would definitely be "play" diapers so I'm not looking to be discreet the opposite in fact. I was looking at the dc amors or the snuggies overnites but I've seen some in pictures that I don't recognize so I'm asking the general public on here for recommendations. What's you're favorite diaper? why do you like it? etc.

I'd suggest a bambino variety case, two bags each of classico, bianco, and teddy for $80

^ I would recommend this as well.

When you say "play" diapers does that mean you will not use them (wet/mess) or does it mean behind closed doors, can be thick because your not wearing outside of the house?

If you want thick & thirsty:
Abu Space/Littlepaws/simple: http://www.abuniverse.com/
Dc Amor or Idyl
Bambino (Bellissimo = thickest): http://bambinodiapers.com/
Rearz (Safari are thickest): http://rearz.ca/index.php?cPath=85&osCsid=42amnciol7bdv1vk1r2458dhv6

Not so thick (or I have not tried):
Tykables are very cute & fit/feel amazing but on the thin side & not as absorbent (still a good choice for little time)
Barebums (cute print, I have not tried them yet): http://www.barebumdiapers.com/
Awwsocute (Great fit & quallity but pricey): http://www.awwsocute.com/
Check out various diapers (samples): http://www.wearingclouds.com/

My personal favorite so far for wearing at home only are the ABU Space diapers. They are really thick so it's hard not to waddle when you walk, have a very high capacity and swell alot! The tapes are better than any diaper I've ever tried and can be refastened several times. The whole diapers construction is high quallity and the entire ABU team are all ABDL. The Rearz safari diapers look like an amazing choice but they are so exspensive to ship into the US. I have tried the spoiled by Rearz and they are a great diaper but the DC diapers are very similar at a cheaper price. The one thing I don't like about the DC diapers is the feel of the plastic outer shell, other than that, great diaper. My number one out and about diaper is Bambino Bellissimo (or Teddy) because of it's quallity construction and high capacity, also a good "staying in" choice.

by play I mean behind closed doors I want them very much to not be discrete. I'm not a big fan of the space themed diapers. I can't point out why I don't like the look just doesn't do it for me. I appreciate all the options you gave though gives me more to think about I completely forgot about tykables.

8 per bag (shows you how thick they are), 6 bags per case, total 48 diapers per case. A "mixed case" is 2 bags of classico (with "baby" blocks), 2 bags of bianco (plain white), and 2 bags of teddy (baby teddybears). So same 48ct, no additional cost for variety iirc.

Bambino has a fourth in-house diaper, the Belissimo. It looks the same but has a higher amount of sap for a small additional price, and is like the Teddy pattern but replaces the bears with rabbits and has a powder blue theme backdrop. (whereas the bears and baby blocks are on the white diaper backround) All four models have a plain white shell, the only visual difference is the tape panel. You don't get any belissimo with the mixed case. If you're committed to spending the full $100, you might get a sampler or two of Belissimo also, 2 diapers per sample iirc.
