Is this really so unrealistic..?

This is the epitome of unrealistic. Sorry to burst your bubble, OP.

You would be lucky to see them in a sex store toy store. There use to be one in town that had some sissy and AB clothing but that only takes up a bit of room on the racks. Diapers require a ton of room in the back for cases.

well...any of you guys heard of a place called rearz? aparently its an actual walk in store that has regular baby stuff but has another area completely dedicated to AB stuff. i think its in canada.

Alright call me crazy but I have heard about such a store actually existing. Now I could be wrong of course but there's actually circumstantial evidence supporting this rumor. How many of you know about the CSI episode "king baby"? The plot involved a wealthy AB who was murdered. Well during that episode the investigators where following a lead on the victim (who was AB) when they found out about the store the victim went too where he bought his crib at. This store was selling highchairs, cribs of various designs and supposedly sells adult diapers as well. Allegedly this store actually exists in real life.

Supposedly this store is located in New York city which could support enough of a AB business population for such a store to exist from a business point. You see the real reason why you don't see stores like that usually is because there's just not enough potential customers around because we are a niche market after all. Online store's have a customer base equal to number of potential customers with a internet connection to them which can work obviously because if they did not then they would not even exist. However since literally more people live in New York city alone then some countries (New York city's population is in fact in the millions) it's possible there would be enough potential customers around to support such a AB oriented business at least in theory.

Please keep in mind I actually still have my doubts about this but so far I have found nothing to say such a store does not exist yet. I'm simply not so sure then outright denying it's authenticity and dismissing it accordingly for that reason alone. The reason why I am mentioning this is because I would like people to try to find actual factual proof of this place really existing or not because I'm curious to know the real answer myself. Honestly this place could exist or it does not but there's 1 relatively easy way to find out after all if such a place actually exists. By finding the store and giving a phone number on this thread where one could talk to them over the phone. This store allegedly sells diapers as well as AB oriented furniture and other accessories based upon the scene that I saw on that CSI episode.

The store in CSI was put together for the show and as far as I know never existed. At one point The Diaper Superstore had a real store which was apparently a creepy place with pictures of boys on the walls. Rearz has their store in Ontario and I believe Babykins has a showroom in BC. All these businesses were mostly online and probably only have the actual store because there warehouse space was in a place that gave them the option of doing it.

If I am ever in that part of Ontario without my family I will try to pop into Rearz to check it out for myself.

A regular supermarket / department store will never supply things for behavior that "normal" society will not accept.

However, I am optimistic that a day will come when at least some of the stigma surrounding the use of adult diapers will vanish.

So far this only happens in America...there are dedicated licensed DLAB shops. You see the USA is bigger than the UK so DLAB is more prominent, more known and more excepted. You'd thnk that'd be clear...so many of the photo and info websites are American, who makes the most specialist nappies...USA: Bambino's, Snuggies, DC Amor's, Awww So Cute's, the main 3 from ABUniverse...that's seven......UK: 3 from Cuddlz and The BKN...yeah, that's 4 and finally what are us DLs (like myself) un-abbrieviated to? Diaper Lovers that's what! We're all Diaper Lovers and nappies don't get a mention so yes it's all americanized...I've remembered something else 2 - every television program that's studied us has been American: My strange fetish (I think that's what it's called), (unfortunately) Jerry Springer and Taboo...in the UK sexcetra looked at us quickly but that epsode (like every other one in that series) was tucked away, in fact only that recent channel four program was prime time enuff to garner attension and create positive respons - in fact I Bleeve we all trended on twitter! Finally - even tho it's not nice to talk about - (and I may have the wrong end of the stick) pedo-related trouble where DLABs is concerned is usally worse and more venom filled over here in the UK - yes you see more news reports about it from the USA on Youtube but the USA's a more sexually open country even if they're talking about the bad side of it.
I do think that we're never going to see dedicated DLAB shops here in the UK - yes that's sad but I'm still hopeful of some things. There are plenty of licensed sex shops and if they start having corners devoted to DLAB that'll be no bad thing...only time will tell.
Finally, I'm impressed your favrit brand of nappy is the Lille brand...they're okay but I'd never call them a favrit. Their suprems are now cloth-backed (tho if that's your thing I AM NOT ATTACKING YOU OVER THAT PLEASE DO NOT MISS JUDGE ME...it's jst we's all aloud an opinion. Also tho their Classics are plastic-backed (yes!) they do ride a little hi whch can becom an annoyance. R wel... each to their own I ges! Thanks for starting an interesting thread. bringmesunshine

bringmesunshine: "dedicated licensed dlab shops" in the united states? not that i've found. the closest i found once is a store called "diaper depot", and i bought some really cool thin "sap"-based molicares there, but they went out of business :-( they didn't have any adult baby stuff as far as i could tell, either, but i didn't ask. mail order is still the best, and usually the only, way to get ab/dl stuff.

(edit!) a quick google search found *one* place called "diaper depot" in florida, and they have first quality brand baby diapers, simplicity and wings adult diapers. not what most dl's would call premium by a long shot. :p

Seeing the label "Adult Baby Diaper" in a supermarket? Not a chance. Seeing that in a smut shop (Doctor Johns, etc...)? Not unrealistic.

Very unrealistic.
