Thread: Your Favourite Beers?

    Default Your Favourite Beers?

Yes, yes I know - babies aren't allowed beer. However, I think the stuff is wonderful (with some exceptions...I'm looking at you, Carling!). Anyway, are there any other ADISC beer lovers, and if so, what are your favourite types of beer and individual brew(s)?

I'll post my Top 3, but it's subject to change...

Brooklyn Lager (Brooklyn Brewery) - A lovely, crisp, slightly sour lager brewed to and made through pre-prohibition recipe and methods. Delicious!

Koko Brown (Kona Brewing Co.) - Dark ale with coconut. As good as it sounds. Made in Hawaii (alleged birthplace of McLovin!).

Birra Moretti (Birra Moretti) - Really nice, flavoursome, refreshing Italian lager. Goes perfectly with Seafood, as well.

So, fellow ADISCers, how about yourselves?

    1. Magic Hat Number 9 - It's some kind of paleish, brownish, fruitish beer. It's delicious

    2. Sierra Nevada Summerfest - The perfect lager. Crisp, clean, light enough, but not so light that it's like water. Moreover, it has a lovely hop finish.

    3. Petrus Aged Pale - Sour pale ale. If you haven't had a sour beer before, brace yourself. It's different, but I think it's refreshing and it awakens the tastebuds.

I love Sierra Nevada beers, though some of them are hard to get in England. I've only found Summerfest in one shop in Nottingham, but it is delicious. The pale ale and Kellerweis are both excellent beers and fairly accessible in these parts. Talking of US ale brewers, I like Anchor beers a lot (and their lager is also really good).

This shit right here, when I skimmed through it, I thought this was "speed cola"

I was about to drink to reload faster.

If you live in England, you needn't concern yourself with American lagers; you should be drinking the German and Czech stuff. Now when it comes to beer getting weird, I think that's where we shine, but elegant simplicity is not really our forte.

Oh I know, I just picked up a bottle of Anchor lager recently because the specialist beer store near me had some, and I was surprised by how nice it was. The Czechs and the Belgians (Jupiler, Maes and Palm...Stella is overrated!) know how to make the best lagers, especially pilsners.

I like super hoppy IPA's. Lagunitas is probably my favorite all around, easily acquired beer at the moment.

My mouth is watering just from typing that out

My favorite beer is Stone Arrogant Bastard. I know, I'm a horrible person. Brooklyn Lager and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale are also among my favorites.

One of the benefits of being an adult baby is that you can drink whatever you want.

What it's been for the past 40 years. Budweiser. In fact it's time for one.
