If this is the case then I should start looking for a new go-to diaper. It's been a decent brief for a long time but if they dropped the hourglass shaped padding then I'm gonna be sad.

Looks like a manufacturing error to me, but I haven't bought any of these in a few months.

The last pack I bought was in January 2020 and they were normal, I've since switched to BetterDry.

By the other post, I'm guessing you are in Europe. These are still sold as Abena M/L 4 in the US, so manufacturing changes may not be the same here.
 
Happy to report that I just bought a case of L4's and the full hourglass shape is back. I guess time will tell if it stays this way or not.
