    Talking Diaper Code

Has anyone else ever loved the smell of a new pack of goodnites/pullups? I don't know how to describe it but it's just... Great. Brings back memories.

(Ah shit, I didn't want it to say diaper code! Ignore that! Sorry!)

    Diaper Code!

Scents apparently (out of the five senses) are the strongest memory-bank inducer, so it totally makes sense that you'd get a warm happy feeling from the scent of something that made you warm and happy in the past! That's why I think a lot of people here, including me, love the baby powder scent, too!

Just a joke based on the title.

My sense of smell is really tied into memory. In my story, "The Un-training of Stanley Kaminski", he, at one point in the story, deliberately walks down the diaper isle when he has to go to the store for his wife. In addition to the smell, he casually touches a pack of diapers. Touch can also tie into memory.

We smelled the diapers when we were little, a smell that became imbedded in our subconscious. Now, as we smell it again, those feelings of being "little" come to the surface, triggered by a smell that is stored deeply in our subconscious. What a wonderful thing.

I've always thought that taste was the strongest. But I believe scent is second?
