    Default First Custom Build

Built my first computer for a buddy last month. My friend paid me 2000 to build him a gaming pc so I did, he said I could keep what was left.

    Specs:
    Intel I7-3820
    Asus P9x79-le Motherboard
    2x 120gb SSD's on Raid1
    GeForce GTX 720
    Corsair AX860 PSU
    G-Skillz 2x 4GB ram
    Nzxt Phantom Full ATX Tower

I have the CPU overclocked at 4.3Ghz and the ram running a 2011Mhz as the MOBO only supports 2011Mhz ram speed. I have a normal coolair heatsink on it (Plan on liquid cooling). Running windows 7

Yea thats really it I dont think Im missing anything but i made myself a 200$ profit!

I have NEVER purchased a name brand desktop computer. I have always custom built. I have built at least 6 systems over the years. None of them were for Gaming.

Sounds nice, though I wonder what card you used as I pretty sure you did a typo on that part.

Sounds like OK specs, not sure how you spent 1800$ on it though. Watercooling is overkill in my opinion, my cpu is 28c right now on air. Raid 1 on ssd's is useless imho, they will both wear out at the same rate now.

I build my systems for (some) gaming, and server+development machine, as I work on lots of big geeky programming projects, a few games for recreation.

Don't forget when your message was written you are not playing a game.

The water cooling system you can overclock higher.
