Thread: Supportive Advice in Newspaper Column

Default Supportive Advice in Newspaper Column

A very interesting advice column popped up in my feed today concerning a parent who discovered his son stealing diapers and using them. Jesse Bering PH.D weighs in with the columnist to provide some useful advice for the parent and other great information AB/DL related.

Interesting article that handled the subject in a good way.

    Thanks for sharing.

I don't quite know what the hell this article turns into at the end. But this source does not seem reliable for information. It drops the F bomb several times. Not from a newspaper.

In this case, the columnist answered two questions. The first one was about a 14-year-old teenager that apparently likes to wear diapers. The second question - I don't read, since it was not relevant. For most of the answer to the first question, the columnist relied on Jesse Bering. I thought the answers given were good and sound (at least for an over-view -- after all, this wasn't a full-length article).

I didn't see any f**k in the first section and since I didn't read the second. Don't care.

For anybody that is interested - I do suggest reading the first question and response.

It's a news paper, not Disney channel. I don't think news papers are censored for foul words.

In general, people need to grow the fuck up anyhow. Plus if you're reading a news paper you know how to spell fuck and know it's usage.

City Papers aren't respected bastions of journalism, they're more geared towards entertainment and night life. Most even have ads for escort services in the classifieds right next to the 12-step meeting group listings.

Not disputing that, but Savage Love is a frank talk sexual advice column that is widely carried in such papers. Dan Savage is a well known figure in the field of sexual advice with a history of normalizing kinks in relationships. He hasn't been as supportive of ABDLs as some other kinks, so I'm pleased to see the question answered so helpfully.

Pity Adisc had to move to 18+. I understand why it was necessary but still think it was a pity. The 14 yo in question or his mom could have made use of this site. Ah well. At least Savage's advice was right on the money.

I know who Dan Savage is, the point. I was making is that City Papers are not the New York Times. There's gonna be language.

Ah, now I understand. Perhaps it will be informative to someone else who wasn't aware.
