Thread: Buying a Black Onesie

    Default Buying a Black Onesie

    I have a shopping predicament.
I want a onesie... but I want it in black, and that is something that I can't seem to find.

I know that Privatina do sell them (privatina - individual one piece fashion: Shirt Body - comfort - color)

But I wondered if anyone knew of somewhere a little closer to home (UK)

This was my first thought, too. It sounds quaint, but dying is easy.

Buy the onesie you want in the lightest color possible. If anything other than white or white variations, bleach it. Go to a craft store; say you want to dye some clothing. They'll help you find all the materials you need. Because you're dying an entire garment, all you'll need to do is soak the onesie in a tub. No fanciness or skill required.

Talk to a seamstress, anyone that can make dresses, pants, jackets or backpacks wont have any trouble making a onesie. Find one who is accepting, if shes a hippy its a good indication.

    try disabled-clothing.co.uk.
if you can fit into kids' sizes, they do navy coloured. more realistically, the white [only] adults' are cheap enough, with the small size probably suitable for age 16 up. and then to Dunelm,
Dylon Machine Dye | Dunelm Mill
for the colour of your choice.

btw, the Dylon 'china blue' equates to baby-blue pretty well.

    Thanks for the replies everyone

It looks like I should strongly consider dying my own... *gulp*

I'll make a post when I'm done. Wish me luck!
