Thread: Diapers in Japan

    Default Diapers in Japan

Here's an interesting statistic I heard in the news recetnly: In Japan, more adult diapers are sold than baby diapers. No, ABDL is not the latest Japenese rage. Apparently, this trend is demographically driven. There are far more old IC people than babies in Japan. They have even featured adult diapers in fashion shows!

This is true... They also have found out a way to turn them into fuel.

    Yes...

Though they are cleansed first since all organic matter is carbon-based anyway. This is a waterless process since all they need to do is break down the structure of it's contents.

    And YEAH! You know it.

Not just diapers being used for fuel, but urine as a source of electricity.

Im loving where this thread is going....

Looks like I learned about a few things today that puts a smile on my face...perhaps a future for disposable diapers?....I hope so!

OP: I read something like that a few weeks ago,I think its due to fact is when you consider that more people are consrated on a small island like that...You will get more people wearing diapers as one of the effects.

Largely the reason why there are more incontinent people in Japan than babies is because of Japan's significant ageing population and low birth rates- a prime example of what globally will become a serious issue in a few decades.

Thank you for the interesting information though.

It is great that they are finding a use for diapers
instead of sending them to a landfill.
Guess they had too since thay have very little room for waste disposal.

Also in Japan it seems that family is very important and older
    people are looked upon better.
