How about going back a bit further?

The Carol Burnett Show (just watch Tim Conway do his Old Man and try to keep a straight face)

I think its boring after 1998. They don't really have any good meaning anymore, which is odd since South Park has more meaning in its episodes then The Simpsons do now. Family Guy is way better then The Simpsons and makes just as much points in social commentary if not more so, of course South park has more then both now..

    Very funny show!

Going back even further, The Dick Van Dyke Show had some very funny stuff as well. More recent than that, but still old was The Bob Newhart Show, although one must brace for the very 70s styles.

If you wanted to talk about TV Shows, you could have just made one thread and asked all these questions in there.

Seems like a stupid attempt to chase betagame in the Thread Count list. And trust me, that's a record you do not want to chase.

My favorites include The Beverley Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith show, Adam-12, Emergency, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres and ALF. I guess that I am really showing my age now. But these are some of the shows that I grew up with and love.

My favorites are mostly some of the older ones. I still watch I Love Lucy re-runs whenever they are on. I'll be watching it today, TV Land is running a mini-marathon starting in about an hour. Also, All in the family, even with all of the serious social issues it touched on, I think its funny. Honestly, I prefer many of the older sitcoms rather than the new ones and it's funny, many of my favorite TV series were produced before I was even born.

    Oh, and Family Guy Rules!

I'm a big Buffy the Vampire fan, but I don't think they re-run, so I've bought several of the seasons on DVD.
