    Default Betty Page

A long time ago I was working at a ren fair and I notised a guy wearing a silk button down shirt. What struck me was on the back it had a 1940's pin up picture of Betty Page wearing a cloth diaper. It even had a real metal safety pin on her diapered hip. I wanted so bad to ask him were he got that shirt. Has anyone seen any pictures of Betty Page wearing diapers, or any 1940's pin up modles in diapers?

Bettie Page was a famous fetish model in the 50's. She was well-known for her pin-ups. She was and still is a bit of a fashion icon in the BDSM community, although it is debatable as to whether or not she participated in the BDSM scene beyond her role in media.

nb. I've seen a few of her wearing cloth diapers, too. Cute!

Read the Wiki and found it interesting. Thanks Oranges. 50's porn was interesting for it's day. I was a young kid during the 50's but I can remember seeing some of it toward the late 50's. One thing people today don't realize is that child pornography, though not legal, was easily obtained in the 50's and 60's. One simply had to ask for it at the news stands and magazine stores. No wonder there was a more permissive attitude, and I suspect it is for this reasons that Priests engaged more in that sort of thing. You'll notice that one of the magazine names was "Wink", and sadly, a lot of things passed with a wink and a smile, boys just being boys.

Now in the 21st century, we have much better standards towards child pornography, and exhibit a real effort to not allow it. At the same time, the internet has changed the pornography industry dramatically. You'll notice in the article that many of these woman posed for photography "art" studios. But when you look at some of those pictures, there was a greater artistic attempt. They also knew that suggestive poses and even clothes, could be sensual. Today's pornography with slutty women sitting with their legs spread, showing everything can be a turn off to a number of people, myself included.

Instead of getting excited, I look and think, is that a cyst?

Another huge difference between now, and back then: Diapers were far more stigmatized in the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. And if you were diagnosed with any kind of psychiatric disability, you were likely institutionalized. You paid like heck if you weren't "normal", or didn't assume the exact proper roles according to your age and gender. But I will give those days some credit: Almost everything was manufactured in the United States, decent paying jobs were reasonably easy to find, gas and energy were cheap, and you could smoke just about any place you wanted!
