Thread: Greetings gents.

    Default Greetings gents.

Little bout me.. sorry what may seem like a wall of text..

Ah the old icebreaker...well currently I work for a wine and spirits distributing company while working on my CMB (cell and molecular biology) major and minor in chemistry. It's a very exciting and flexible field and I plan on doing research on viral agents in relation to gene therapy. Honestly I can't wait to get out of the classroom and do actually work soon. Gets old after a while. Other than work and school am I also a Pagan practitioner (non denominational) and am quite spiritual.

For the brief nutshell that hate walls of text, I'm science geek that takes a lot of pride in his work (and himself), loves working with people, and I tend to be a leader and contributor to the best of my ability to my friends and family (or whatever thing I might be in).

Well the shy details why I'm here
....I am a diaper lover. This is one of the first times ever admitting so and was looking for a bit of support since this is the only outlet that's private and sophisticated I have found for this. Frankly I've not totally come to terms with it and have long repressed it. Some aspects scare me, some I've grown more accustomed to the more I go on. I take a lot of pride in knowing who I am and consider myself pretty well adjusted. I know where most of it stems from, but when I see psych minded people categorizing my interest as some deep seated psych issues I often cringe when that isn't the case or am unsure. I also enjoy a bit of age play given the right environment and circumstances, and that couples in as a general getaway from..well stress. It's not something I turn to all the time, nor do I need it, but would indulge if ya get my drift. It would wear (and use), but I don't need it all the time. It's an interest I thought I may as well embrace...

    Beyond that..

I am avid beer/wine/spirits enthusiast. Craft beer being my main love in the realm of saisons and imperial stouts. When it comes to wine I'm a red wine drinker: a fine Zinfandel, Malbec, or bold Cab is right up my alley. For spirits, I am bourbon kind of guy. Knob Creek is currently my fancy. Anime is another thing I'm passionate about and also I have a fancy for My Little Pony FIM (don't worry, most of my threads will not pertain to that haha!).
Music wise I'm a classic metal head in relation to doom metal (Wino, Pentagram, Candlemass, ect) and have a big spot for Eurobeat. I also have a passion for opensource software and am a bit of Linux enthusiast (Chakra, Arch, Kubuntu, Tinycore). That's more or less coupled with my hobby as an amateur mechanic working on cars; both mine and friends.

I am a big outdoorsy guy, an right now I could for a nice horseback ride. The Scandinavian breeds are my favorite.

What I'd like to get out
To avoid sounding whiny...I really just need an outlet. It's new, and often times tackling a level of your personality you've long repressed is difficult. I just don't want to feel like I'm crazy ya know lmao.

I very much appreciate your responses.

Welcome to ADISC. Don't worry this is the perfect place to use as an outlet, we all share most of the same interest and are pretty friendly. Great intro btw, and I hope you make a lot of friends here.

Ah thank you. I'm actually surprised and thankful to have found such a place with this interest that's sophisticated (i.e not porn, date, the tasteless AB/DL ads on the side). The articles too are extremely nice.

Yeah, It's nice to know that there are people with the same interest as me and you but also mature and respectful. I've thought about joining other forums but all of the others are filled with crotch shots of peoples diapers and other nasty stuff that I'd rather not metion. It's really nice to talk to people who share an intrest in diapers but also are normal people who have no intetion of exposing themselves on the internet. It looks like you've already started to get involved and I hope you decide to stay for awhile.

    Hello, Geno!

From a fellow science-nerd: Welcome aboard!

AB/DL is often classified as a reaction to psychological trauma or stress, but if I've learned anything from my time here, it's that generalizing about any aspect of AB/DL is fraught with peril. Everybody has their own ideas about where their interests and feelings came from, but as many of us developed these very early in life, it's likely that most of our ideas are simply wrong. Still, it's interesting to wonder about. I remember an otherwise ordinary and care-free childhood that just happened to be slightly burdened with an interest in wearing diapers. Why? I'm pretty clueless.

That's cool about the wine and spirits. I'll call myself an avid consumer of scotch, though my tastes are relatively uncomplicated. I'm also very much a fan of red wines. A close friend of mine lives in the Yakima River valley in Washington, and he and I tour the vineyards every couple of years. Neither of us tastes wines they way you're supposed to, however. You're supposed to spit them out. Consequently, we'll only make it to about half a dozen--sometimes fewer--wineries before we begin to doubt our ability to safely drive home! Last time out, I picked up a nice vintage Cabernet at the Bonair winery and then thoughtlessly left it in the back seat of my friend's car... on a 95-degree day. Fortunately, white wines are astonishingly good at taking the reds out of carpets and such! Yeesh... I've been invited back, though.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay. Like you, I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this place after having several times run into other sites that had a distinct creepiness about them. This place is indeed an oasis.

    Cheers!

This be true, and I suppose I could say it makes slightly anxious with that uncertainty. Considering the fact my life isn't a wreck because of it or lacking in other aspects.. I suppose it's safe to say I'm alright lol.

Ah yes I've had the pleasure of sampling some wines from Yakima valley, quite excellent. It was at a tasting (I don't spit either, such a waste lol) I'm branching out into scotch currently after my buddy brought over his Chivas Regal 18 year old...which was...somewhere along the lines of god in a bottle. Heh, yeah that's what whites seem to be good for to me lol, though a guwertraiminer is avid for spicy Chinese.

I couldn't help but notice the pampers cutting off your circulation tidbit there which made me chuckle as I just bought a pack of huggies cruisers 7 today (which was my first purchase ever). I'll keep that tip under advisement as yes....it still feels like I've got a vice there even after a couple hours after I'm out of them lol.

A biology/chemistry student and someone who knows craft beer, and you complimented the articles? I think we'll get along nicely. :P

I'm a biology/biochemistry double major, the guy who edited most of the articles, and part-time craft beer snob. That said, I'm not big on wine, and I'll settle for mediocre spirits which mix acceptably. Frankly, you sound like you've come to the site for much the same reason as I came to it myself - a step forward in accepting DL-ism by joining (an apparently sane part of) the community. Welcome aboard.

Are you serious? No way. I must be dreaming. I've been dreading all day "I'm sure there are not any of those types here" and I'm glad to be dead wrong. That actually made my night frankly.

Yeah that's more or less why I'm here. Couple months ago I decided to stop suppressing it and to finally explore it this month (and today finally). Lot of things going through my head about it, but I generally feel better.

Hello! I first of all want to thank you for your help in the babyfur section. Next, I want to welcome you to ADISC! I am glad you are here! I would love to get into science more! Incedentelly, Chemistry is my favorite field. I happen to love walls of text, as I am an avid reader. In school, we were studying different religions, and I could never understand paganism. Would you be so kind as to explain it to me? I am not that big into alcohol, but I am into tasting a bit when I get the chance! On the subject of Anime and My Little Pony, I don't know much about either one, although I would be interested in learning. I love to learn all that I can! I prefer classic metal to doom metal as well. I cannot listen to a whole lot of metal because it tends to make me angry. Music has alway had a very strong effect on me. What is open source software? As to Linux, I like it better than Windows because it is more secure, but I like Windows because I am more familiar with it. My boyfriend is teaching me mechanics! I am thoroughly enjoying it! I love the outdoors, especially hiking! I think you will be able to find a great outlet here! I give my utmost praise to this site! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Well thank you for taking an interest in what I like! Still quite a bit for me to cover though considering the complexity of some of those topics.
Your Paganism question.... this site does well to explain NEO-PAGAN RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS. Except I don't fancy the the term neopagan I do not follow any traditional path, much in the same way a non denominational Christian is not a part of any Church. A quick google of Anime will yield a lot more than I can explain.

Oh is that so? What bands interest you? and what distribution of Linux do you run alongside your Windows partition.
