Thread: Bond films!

    Default Bond films!

I was thinking about this, and it's been a while... but who here is a fan of the James Bond films? Recently, I accquired through my best friend, who had the deluxe collectors edition DVD box sets, his original individual DVDs of the films. I now own ALL Bond films from Dr. No to Die Another Day, which by the way- Die Another Day, was a gift from my dad when I was rather bummed out.

I was wondering which was your favorite and first one you ever saw. For me, the answer to both questions is You Only Live Twice. I remember watching that with my dad on TV despite my mom thinking I wasn't ready for it... First Bond film I saw in the theatre: Goldeneye.

Share your thoughts, and let the games begin!!!!

Lol George Lazenby! I actually enjoyed Timothy Dalton, though.

I think the first one I watched was actually Octopussy, and it seems like it was on tv on one of those marathons that used to run on cable.

My favorite... Either Moonraker or Man With the Golden Gun. Yeah I realize that Roger Moore was not necessarily the best Bond, but those two movies especially had that right mix of over-the-top craziness to make them entertaining.

I've only seen a couple, and I love them! But I'll only watch the ones with Pierce Brosnan (did I spell that right?) in them.

That's a shame, since those were amongst the worst ones. Goldeneye was really good though.

Oh, come on. Pierce Brosnan is an excellent Bond! But, everyone has their own opinion, ours are just different. Oh well.

the older ones are kinda corny and really dated. The newer ones have been more realistic granted "Tomorrow Never Dies" main villain was super corny though. It also seemed like he was hitting on bond the only way a bond villain could do. Am I the only one who really thinks the guy just wanted to get Bond in the sack with him?

I used to LOVE those movies! Roger Moore was my favorite Bond, by far.

I think the first Bond I saw was Moore, but they were on British TV so often when I was growing up that it all tends to blur. I think Moore was my favourite Bond, for all that his were a little on the silly side. Goldeneye was definitely the best of Brosnan's.

The recent Bonds are far closer to the books. Bond is charming, but he is not a particularly nice guy.

That's actually part of why I like Timothy Dalton's Bond. His portrayal was definitely colder than the rest of the pre-Casino Royale/Daniel Craig Bonds.
