A sex offender known as "diaper boy" has been arrested in White City after he again showed a diaper he was wearing to children, police said.

Despite a long history of showing the diaper to children, recent attempts to charge him criminally have been frustrated because he does not expose his genitals.

More..The 31-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he showed his diaper and passed out pictures of adults and children wearing diapers from a Web site, said Salt Lake County sheriff's spokesman Don Hutson. Though the site is not pornographic, some of the shots are provocative, Hutson said.

The man has been arrested and booked about five times in locations around the Salt Lake City area, Hutson said. Court records show he was charged in 2008 with 11 counts of misdemeanor lewdness involving a child in Holladay, but those charges were later dismissed. He did register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to similar charges in 1999 and 2000, however.

He is now being held at the Salt Lake County jail, and possible new charges will be screened by the Salt Lake County Attorney's Office, Hutson said.

This was from the ED article about deeker, sent to me from a friend who is also a DL (don't think he will be on the site anytime soon, he keeps that EXTREMELY private.)

Wow. As long as he is done giving out the wrong idea about us, then good ridance.

Yeah, I would say good riddance. I wonder how this will play out in the courts? If showing a diaper isn't illegal, I suppose passing out pictures of the same would not be illegal either. But he certainly comes off as one sick puppy, and one has to wonder why he is choosing children as his targets. I think that may be illegal!

Sorry to ask the stupid question... but how are we certain that this IS, in fact, Mr. Crosby? (Dan, Sidney, it's all the same.)

Ack, that thread title scared me. I was thinking of a different Dan when I saw it. :P

Sigh of relief once I actually read the contents of that post.

Boy that man just needs to spend sometime away from society, for a week or so.

I think a few years would be more appropriate. Not necessarily in a jail, but perhaps a mental institution of some sort where he can get the help he needs.

I think his major problem is that he spent too much of his life isolating himself from society. Not that I sympathize with him (I really don't), but madness such as his can likely stem from having little connection with the world around him. He chose to have no life outside of his fantasies, and thus started a downward spiral. To a person who is that disconnected from society, the mores and rules of said society mean absolutely nothing.

With that said, locking the guy up is not a bad idea at all. If he is that disconnected from the world around him, who knows what kind of madness he would pull off if he were allowed to run free?

It's hard to say what should happen to him, really.

Either lock him up from society - the basis of where his problem occurred (away from people).
Or keep him out on the streets, where he can repeat the same act.

Oh, I am not here to argue about what should happen to him. He definitely should be locked up. He's too far disconnected for him to not be a danger to anybody else any other way.
