Thread: Gluten Free Diet

    Default Gluten Free Diet

    Is anyone on a gluten free diet? If so, how come? How long have you been on this diet? Was it hard getting started?

    I'm just wondering because my mom and I are thinking of putting me on a gluten free diet. Any suggestions or anything?

    All I got from that is that bread has gluten and I'm still kind of confused.

    Gluten is a special type of protein that is commonly found in rye, wheat, and barley. Therefore, it is found in most types of cereals and in many types of bread. Not all foods from the grain family, however, contain gluten.     Oh... so I think I might be on a gluten free diet. I just don't eat that stuff ever. hmm, weird.

    You'd probably know if you were on a gluten free diet. You would have to stay away from a lot of stuff.

    Well I don't eat breakfast... ever. and I only ever eat bread on rare occasions. I'm pretty much down to dinner (some kind of meat [ex. steak, pot roast]) and rice and lemon chicken for lunch. Sometimes not even the lunch.
