Default A Moment of Silence for Arthur C. Clarke...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_C._Clarke

One of the great Science Fiction authors of all time, Arthur C. Clarke served as an inspiration for me of a future with humanity at the forefront of technology.

    May he rest in peace

I never read any of this guys stuff. I do not even think I have heard of him before...I don't maybe I have. :squint: Regardless it is sad to see a well contributing member to society pass away!

    Rest In Peace Arthur Clarke!

He wrote that. "hits self in the head with a toy hammer" How could I forget that I saw the 2001 and 2010 Space Odysseys.

What is important in writing is left up to a reader to decide; both of those stories, Drew, hold specific importances -- symbolically and allegorically -- to entirely different things.

Literature would not be complete without Clarke or Dickens.
