I built this one this spring:

    Specs:

    Asus M3N78-EM motherboard
    AMD Athlon X2-64 2.6GHz 5000+
    4 Gig Patriot Viper RAM
Western Digital 320 Gig SATA Harddrive
    Samsung DVD burner SATA
    Coolermaster case fan

It's all go and no show, I put the parts in an old case I already had, only the decals indicate whats really inside.

I've been out of this scene for a while now It gets very expensive. I need to find some pictures of my LN2 test bench.

I personally do not care about the outside in fact i find the idea of having a very plain case with the insides being really powerful amusing... Though finding a grey old crappy seeming case that will take all that i want to put into it is tough so i haven't done it yet. As for my current computer its

AMD 4800 dual core (939 socket), 2 gigs ram, 512nvidia graphics card (don't remember which one off hand) and over 2 tb of storage in various hdds.

It's a Customized Dell XPS 630, I don't have any pics at this time (will upload later, but it could take a while) but the basic picture of it is on google.

    Specs:
Mobo: Nvidia 650i Motherboard (Unfortunately it's been modified by dell, so every time I install an OS I have to inject drivers, and it still doesn't work sometimes)
    Memory: 4096MB (4GB) RAM
    Hard Drive(s): 2x750GB Hard Drives + 320GB External, Total 1.82 Terabytes
Graphics:Dual Nvidia 9800 SLi Graphics Cards
Monitor: Dell S2309W 23" Widescreen HD (1920x1080) LCD Display
    Sound Card: Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi
Speakers/Headset: Plantronics gaming headset with virtual surround sound + ordinary 2.0 speakers
    Physics: AGEIA PhysX card
    Keyboard: Logitech G15 Version 2
    Mouse: Dell gaming mouse
    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Case: Default XPS 630

Also managed to replace the floppy disk drive with a memory card reader with bluetooth (dongle used). Took a bit of work to get in however, because the damn thing wouldn't fit at first.

AMD 64 X2 2.2 GHz dual core CPU
    2 gigs of ram
    8800GT (Oc'ed by EVGA)
    320 gig Hard drive
Logitech G5 gaming mouse always set to 2000 DPI, especially while playing Left 4 Dead.

It's not much, but I been able to play Crysis quite while on it.. however GTA4 was HORRIBLE when I tried it. But that was rockstar's fault for such a shitty PC port.

Believe me, guys, once you start having sex, computers and their specs get a hell of a lot less interesting.

    (I'm joking, I'm joking!)

I built my machine about four years ago, and it's pretty outdated. It does have a dashboard lighter in it, though, so when I was still a smoker, there was always a light near by!

ROFL, I found it to be just a product of what my wife calls my "hobby ADD". I seem to grow in and out of hobbies about every 3 or 4 years.

I do the same thing! I'm with that with golf right now -- I love playing golf...but I'm sure that will only last a few more months! As for the computers, I lost interest a few years ago when I began getting really behind in understanding processor specs. Nowadays, I'm totally content and happy with buying a prebuilt or even a laptop and just going until it won't go anymore!

Then again, I'm also the same guy who was happy with a 486 when Pentium IIIs were being released.
