Kidgets/Dollar General overnight underwear: new design is dissapointing

The Kidgets overnight underwear used to be very similar to Goodnites. I could squeeze into them without any trouble and they had a similar, perhaps a bit lower, capacity. They dissapeared from the shelves for a few weeks and recently reappeared with a new design next to regular Goodnites. At first I thought they might just have new prints. But I found that they've gotten a downgrade. The sides are weaker and not quite as elastic, so putting them on either tears them or leaves them on the brink. They are also less absorbent now and seem cheaper overall like other store brands. I'm a bit bummed since these are probably the last diapers I'll get ahold of for a while. Wondering if it's even worth keeping the leaky things.
