Crazy Retail

Ok, anyone work in retal? I have some crazy stories, from people trying to run me over in the parking lot to a guy who thought someone stole his fighting gloves to plant a traking chip. Witch was funny up till the point he wanted me to join a "resistance" to the Cia and started to try fighting random people he thought were agents. :wallbash: Someone had to escort him out. I guess when you stare into the void it realy does stare back. But then again, I had a whole conversation about "edible light bulbs" with a custamer today, so what do I know. :sweatdrop:

Retail would be ok with out the customers

Back when I worked at BestBuy... This little girl with her mom and her mothers boyfriend came in to shop for some last min Christmas gifts. So when I approached her mom to try and see what I could do to help, This little girl who had been playing with the iPad's for a few mins proceeded to show me not only her brothers mugshot but the mothers boyfriend's as well. So I had to stand there, in about the most awkwardest position ever and say "it's okay, I don't judge" all while judging them real hard xD. Keep in mind this girl was like 6 or 7 and was practically bragging to me about this. :dunno:

My wife and I used to say this about school; it would be okay without the students. We both taught junior high...sigh.

Right out of high school, I worked a summer job at a Grants department store, the second largest one in the U. S. along the Jersey Shore. I worked in the camera department and one of the things I did was to take customers roles of film for developing. Yes, sending film off to be developed and turned into real pictures actually existed!

Anyway, I was warned about this one guy and to always say it would take two weeks even though they mostly came back in a week. The reason was that the person before me had given him an actual, approximate time of return. When the guy showed up for his pictures and they hadn't been processed yet, he became enraged, pulled out a knife and chased they guy around the store until the police came and arrested him. He only served a month in jail and was still coming back to the same store with his pictures. I took his film on a number of occasions and I always over estimated the delivery time.

My mate works retail. Store sells knickknacks and greeting cards. Mostly elderly clients. Her job is really really frustrating.
