I don't typically diaper during the hunting, only because I mostly hunt elk (though I always try to also Cary a deer tag when I get the chance) and end up hiking several miles a day. I've yet to find a diaper that can hold up to several miles of hiking.
Interesting though, I am a bed wetter and was super stressed out about it cause I hunt with three other guys that don't know about my night time ic. Last year, I always went to bed before everyone else and had to wake up first to hide my diapers... I also had to wear clothes backed disposables to hide the noise, one of the nights it leaked. Thankfully the sleeping bag hid it pretty well. This year, I decided to bite the bullet and just fess up so I could stay dry and comfortable. I figured I'd get harrased a bit but decided it would be worth it. So our first night, after dinner, around the fire, I brought it up. I didn't get harrased at all. They are all 10-20 years older than I am, and it turns out one of them is dealing with an enlarged prostate and keeps a disposable stent with him so he can pee. He's getting surgery next month. One of the other guys said he's been dealing with anal leakage and just finished a bunch of tests to try to understand what's going on. In the end, one of them did one morning make a joke asking if baby woke up dry and one of the others said to him, you're just jealous that you had to go out side in the middle of the night. It was harmless and actually pretty funny. I'm so glad I told them. I didn't have to try and hide it all. I didn't walk around in a diaper or anything, just discreetly changed in my sleeping bag as everyone else got ready for bed.
Lonnie, I'm curious, what kind of diaper do you wear while hunting? Do you do much hiking, or more tree stand style hunting?
Best of luck on your trip!!
