Please apologize to Antientmariner.
Also reconsider that you're possibly wrong.
Who can proof there is no black swan?

Back to the topic:
I personally do not know about hypnosis that worx.
(But I personally do know cases of spirit possession. I also was beeing warned against hypnosis in this context.)

I know suggestion and affirmation is effectful.

If a child in it's class is treated like a roughneck from his mates, maybe because of his strong body shape, then he will become one.

Self-suggestions work too. But you'll have to be patient.
For example:
If you tell yourself several(!) times every(!) day:
"I'm a nice person. I have love to share with everyone."
then it will become true. It will become a spawn in your consciousness. You'll soon start talking nice. Later on you'll act nice...

You may use similar affirmations/self-suggestions for yourself.

=P

I always consider I'm wrong before making a stance on something, which is why I always first confirm if I am or not. So here's my apology to Antientmariner.

And we are not talking about a "black swan threory" here, hypnosis is medically and scientifically proven. There is no surprise associated with it, nor will hypnosis have a major effect on one's own mind, and we certainly don't have to try and rationalize what has already been proven.

You're looking like a real douchebag. I'm posting facts pulled from religion and Scholars, and your responses have been Looney and childish.

Awesome, very nice ending to this thread that seems to have become circular!

OMG that made me laugh like a maniac!! I came in here for an argument!

Soo cool, i got in baby mode in half the time

ok,
so even though my account says is new! I've been a member for nearly 10 years, this subject has been covered before! Many time's !
And after reading the only person with a valid info was SLOMO, who in fact is right. As a student of neurology, I know a very good hypnotist.
There a master of physiology, they plant a seed in your mind and guide the patient through a series of invisible boundaries. I have seen kids with turrets who have major improvement with hypnosis !!!

Ha, ha, that IS good. It also really drives home the difference between an argument and a contradiction. ALWAYS research your beliefs before you attempt to argue them, and ALWAYS back up your arguments with plenty of evidence and facts. Otherwise you're just coming here to make contradictions and tict people off.
