A side effect from the 'get rid of plastic straws' is that they're making reusable silicone straws. I recently found some at the local store, liked the way they felt in the pack and bought them. XD Now I just need to figure out some kind of carrying case to keep them neat and tidy when we go out.

Anyhow, I bought something else by the same company. I haven't TRIED it yet, but it's a silicone 'skin' that you can stretch over the top of most rigid cups. It has a small hole to put the straw through and is supposedly 'spill proof'.

That's what I bought, but when I went to their site to see if there were any other colors/options, I found this:

I thought it might be relevant to those who want a regular sized cup but with the protection of a sippy cup. ;D

I know if I'd have seen the sippy cup covers, I would have grabbed them.

I've seen something similar with water bottles. I saw them a while ago at a camping store and it's an attachment that screws onto water bottle to turn it into a baby bottle or toddler sippy cup.

I picked these up at walmart on a whim one day. They were a little pricey when I first looked at them, but turned out to be a solid investment. Ive used them a fair bit and they haven't lost their ability to grip the lids of even the widest/oddest shaped cup.

That's great to know. :3 It's why I grabbed them. I have a habit of taking a cup around the house and either knocking it over myself or having it knocked over by the cats and dogs. They like to be crazy and charge around the house and bonk into stuff. LOL I have ones with lids, but sometimes the ones I have with the lids are dirty.
