So I went into a store and asked “ do you sell pads for an old person.... they said what type of pads and I didn’t have enough money.... was so embarrassing and they guy had a weird look on his face . I was short 80 cents and he said have a nice day.

I'm guessing this is related to your other thread. While you never know for sure what's going to happen when you interact with people, I think the odds are you make it stranger by concocting stories. A store clerk doesn't need or likely want a story to go with helping you. They want to do their job and get paid. You don't have to walk in and loudly proclaim "I wish to purchase adult incontinence products for my own use, which may or may not be kinky" but you can be straightforward and buy the items you want without making a big deal about it for anyone.
