Thread: Poll: How many people here have Autism/Aspergers/ADD/ADHD or any other Mental Health Issues

  1. #11

    Default

"Autistic" is a bad word. I have magical spectrum disorder.

  2. #12

    Default

I guess I count as not mentally ill despite feeling a bit crap sometimes and having some pretty awful stress symptoms as I hold down a professional level job and function in society.

Who can really say objectively unless you are so bad it is obvious?

  3. #13

    Default

I do, though I don't think there is a link as far as I'm aware between them and AB/DL

  4. #14

    Default

I deal with a lot of depression since my wife died. I'm trying to find ways to cope with this. Some days are better than others depending on how busy I am, or how motivated I feel to do things.

  5. #15

    Default

I was diagnosed as bipolar-nos, but it doesn't directly correlate to me being ABDL.

I will say though that using diapers is an incredible stress reliever.

  6. #16

    Default

I checked off autism, sensory processing disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and other, the other being excoriation (skin-picking) disorder.

  7. #17

    Default

Does having your mother lie about you having every one of these disorders so that she can get attention count?

  8. #18

    Default

Thankfully I don't have any major mental issues but I do have my occasional moments of paranoia. Thankfully it's never been so bad that I needed to seek treatment or medication.

Sounds like Munchausen's; I'm sorry you're having to deal with that.

Thanks Takashi. Out of curiosity, is there a running forum on here for that kind of problem? I know it's not like a "diaper problem" but I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who deals with that.

In the US Air Farts I was being trained as a Med Services Tech, and this, mind you, was 1979... the teacher/trainer said we would run into older doctors who were just plain misogynists. The example given was that there were acronyms that really used to be standard entries on medical reports. WMS and HFS. Worried Mother Syndrome and Hysterical Female Syndrome. Yeah, that's "the Good Old Days" you've heard about. The biggest psychological "problem" with Adult Baby stuff is How Other People React.
