RIP Barbara Bush.

I was not very fond of her husband as president, but she was one of the classy First Ladies.

I liked her. She clearly had her own opinions that largely got covered up or silenced. She in 1980 at one point said she supported the ERA and Roe v. Wade. Later on she was openly supportive of LGBT people.
 
I was sorry to see her pass. It got me to thinking that in the future, historians will call the era from Obama, backwards historically, The Age of Presidents, as these men acted presidential, and their first ladies filled the role with dignity and purpose.
