Default New Diaper Lover On the Block!

Hi! Iím new to this community and very happy to have joined! So Iíve been a diaper love for about four years or so and Iíve just gotten a hold of diapers themself a couple months ago, and let me tell you, it was good. Thatís it. It sucks, because all these years Iíve been longing to try on a diaper but way to scared to ask my parents or tell anyone about this (still donít plan on that) so i have a feeling of not knowing how a diaper feels really upped my standards of how they were going to feel. Although, Iíve built up the courage to tell my friend about it and they found a way to get me some diapers. I think theyíre attends women (im male lol) and i donít know what it is but i just didnít expect it to be exactly like how they felt, again, probably because Iíve raised my expectations a little too high over the years. Iíll get used to it though. The thing is, Iím super conscious about them and I really do enjoy wetting them, or i think i could, but i feel like its too hard to actually let the pee come out, as if i have to push even when i have to urgently go, when as if i have to pee with the same urgency and go on the toilet, it comes right out. Also, is there anything else you guys suggest to do with diapers? Other than just wet and soil them? My expectations werenít EXACTLY reached as you might assume, so maybe there are different things I can do to better please myself. Thank you all so much!

    Hey there, Heyitsmeeee,

Welcome to the site. I don't know if I should be telling you this because your introduction also contains some friendly questions, but usually you can place your first introductions here:

    https://www.adisc.org/forum/forumdis...-Introductions

Don't worry about that though, as I said, your post is a bit of a grey area, part introduction and question, also, I'll let you in on a secret, I missed the Greetings and Introductions section when I first joined late last year, so you're not alone in bypassing that and posting to this section first

Telling others can be hard, I've told some close friends and they are all accepting. I haven't told, nor do I want to tell my parents, my Mother is not very understanding, she found my stash once and threw everything away. If you feel your parents are open-minded enough maybe you can tell them, but if you want to get it off your chest, you can tell some close friends if you have good rapport with them. You can also bring any diaper concerns you have to your pals here at ADISC.

Wearing for the first time can be a mixed bag, especially if, like you said, you build up your expectations of what a diaper will feel like too much and then when you finally buy some, it's nothing like you imagined. Store-bought brands are never very good, but sadly, they're are usually what we all use our first time around. If your first experience didn't meet your expectations, don't be discouraged, my first dozen times wearing never fully lived up to my expectations and yet, here I am, in my late twenties, no longer a teenager and I still enjoy my diapers with my ABDL fantasies always living up to my expectations. If you want to get more comfortable with yourself and arrive at a more ideal experience, I'd definitely suggest either wearing more consistently or investing in some high-end adult diapers or ABDL marketed diapers, that is if you have the money and a way of securing them without getting caught.

Your struggles with wetting are quite common as well. I always had trouble wetting and messing when I started out. It's something to do with how your brain/body works and thinks after potty-training. Your mind says it's OK to go, but your body resists or vice versa, it's like a mental block. The only way to override it is to wear more frequently. Sitting on the toilet while diapered, something that you have tried, also helps in combatting the mental block. Even I have trouble with it from time to time, I can wet my diapers like a pro, but messing can still be occasionally difficult because of the block.

With regards to other things to do while diapered, that really depends on you. As an AB, I enjoy doing a bunch of babyish things while diapered, I play with my baby toys, I drink from my baba, I go down for naps. Of course, you seem to be strictly a DL so you might not have any interest in doing baby things while diapered. Maybe some of the other DL's on the site can chime in and give you suggestions. One thing I would suggest is maybe participating in some of your favourite interests while diapered. I have a DL friend who is an avid hiker and cyclist and I know he really enjoys doing both of those things while padded.

I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy your time on the site and make plenty of new friends

Hello and welcome! I've been 24/7 for about 18 months, it feels completely natural now. Don't worry about the Attends for women I wear Lady Tena Discreet mainly, they are a great fit and widely available in supermarkets,,,

I also get fewer urges to pee now that I'm 24/7, which actually helps my bladder anxiety issues, but yes I know exactly what you mean about not being able to go when you feel like you should. If you are in a situation where you can wet yourself, home alone eg, just don't try and go, or hold, let it happen in it's own time and you'll be surprised with a flood lol,

We've all started out as you are now, some worse even. The path to acceptance and moderation is a long and hard one. Just keep working on it, and one day you'll realize your loving diapers isn't somethi g to be ashamed of or kept hidden at all costs.

One thing to keep in mind about diapers is that the diaper itself can have an effect on your experience. While I started with cheap pull-ups and Walmart diapers, the subpar performance does make things less fun but I have to suck it up from time to time if my supply runs out since I have to wear 24/7...

I have tried better diapers and sometimes it can be hard for me to stock up on the good stuff, but a good diaper can be so much nicer--especially if you find one that fits you like a glove. The best I've tried was the Northshore Supreme and I'm interested in trying out some of the better ABDL brands. My main diaper is the Tranquility ATN, which I consider to be my current low end, but still quite acceptable diaper. The fit is much better than store brands and it performs adequately though I do use a Super Topliner Booster pad for nights and long trips.

You should try to explore some of the different diapers out there and see if some of the better ones enhance your experience. Since you don't have to wear 24/7 like I have to, you can splurge a bit on some of the higher end diapers since you don't have to make sure you always have protection. Everyone has their own preferences so what works for one person may not be the best for you but most people here can point out some good ones to try out and what ones are utter garbage. There are also a lot of people here who can help you with hints on how to discretely get diapers sent to you from these online vendors if you are worried about parents intercepting your packages.

I wish I knew more about some of the different aspects of my life when I was younger so I could have explored them more so I understand some of your frustration there.

I didn't have trouble wetting since I was developing urge incontinence but things you can do to help you pee would start off with the most important thing: relax! Try imagining or playing sounds of waterfalls, streams, rivers or rain. Imagine rain or water flowing down a stream or out a pipe or hose--you get the idea. Breathe deeply and just relax and eventually you'll be able to let go. Don't try to force it or you'll just have trouble getting the results you want.

PaddedDeist, being 24/7 don't you go though a LOT of the ATNs?

I found that while they are more expensive per diaper, betterdry ends up costing me much less per day than atn does- simply because they last so much longer. And like you said, also having better diapers adds to their pleasantness.

I go through around 6 bags every 2 weeks--6 bags is the 'case' size from a lot of Amazon retailers. I just have not been able to test the Northshore or Betterdry yet to get solid numbers on how long those last.

They may certainly be better but it also makes my wife and I nervous to see how small the cases are for these better diapers and how much more they cost. I want to compare them but I just have not been able to convince my wife yet. Perhaps when she gets her per capita check from the tribe if we don't have too many bills to pay. (Her tribe owns a big casino.)

    Yeah, you are literally wasting money right now. I've said this before, and it bears repeating. Stop looking at diapers on a cost-per-diaper basis. You have to look at it as a cost-per-day! If your wife understands math, show her this;

At 6 bags of 10 each, every 14 days, you are going through an average of 4.3 diapers per day (that's 60/14). At $1.22 each, that comes to $5.25 per day (that's 4.3 x 1.22). You should not be spending more than $5.00 per day, and can get much lower than even that.

Take me for example. My primary diaper is Crinklz. Expensive right, well lets see. I go through an average 2 per day, sometimes 3. About an average of 2.2 per day. They cost me $1.65 each ($99 for a case of 60). So I spend an average of $3.63 per day (that's 2.2 x 1.65).

I save $1.62 each day, compared to your situation- and I'm getting diapers I can trust won't leak. That's a whopping $591.30 per year! (Which is 1.65 x 365). If your wife is truly dead set on spending that money, could you maybe convince her to let you use a better diaper and send those savings to me instead?

Ps. Oh, and only using 4.3 ATNs per day?? They last an absolute maximum 4 hours for anyone even close to being properly hydrated. You should be needing to get up at night to change. And you should be going though 6 or more per day. Since you're not, that easily means you are well into being dehydrated. Why are you letting your wife dictate you maintain poor health in addition to waste your money???

It's 12 per bag but sometimes I do let them go too long. And go through 3-2 boosters per day on average--I need a nighttime change and I change into a booster for my morning nap after I take the wife to work.

Ok, I had a bad number. You'd be a little more ahead with the diaper costs, but every bit behind thanks to the added boosters cost. My overall numbers are still going to be close then. Come on, get your wife to hand me that wasted money instead. We could all use an extra $50/month.
