So I'm sitting here reading stories and checking new posts, and my cat decided that my lap looked like a great place to have her kittens...:no::no::no::no:

Since my wife died, I've been going downstairs to the family room to watch TV in the evening. I sit in my comfortable Lazy Boy chair. Recently, my big golden retriever has decided she's a lap puppy even though she's a 70 lb. 5 year old dog. She'll come over and jump up in my lap. I believe she would stay in my lap for hours if I let her. Usually I pet her for a half hour or so and then get her to jump down. I think she's missing my wife as much as I am, or at least to some degree. She's been really good company for me in an otherwise quiet house.
 
My cat loves attention. In the wee hours of the morning he will come into my room and hop in bed with me and sleep with me until I wake up. Sometimes it's the lap, but most often he chooses to cradle himself between my arm and my belly.
 
UPDATE: she had 3 beautiful little babies. Free kittens in 6 weeks :)

kittens are unbelievably cute. Seriously, they shoudl run the world.....
