Like most with my bladder IC I never feel it when I go until I feel the warmth and diaper swelling. I have also noticed over the last year or so as my IC gets worse that I no longer wake with a morning erection. Might be age (47) but lately I am loosing sensations during sex. I do t get physical erections from touching I only get them from visual and mental stimulation. This also means that climax is getting harder to achieve and what's worse is I often do t realize that it has happened.

Am I alone or do others experience this? My IC IS mainly from spinal nerve damage.

That actually sounds just more age related. Your testosterne levels might have dropped recently too. It happens to every guy sooner or later. Mine was in my ealy 30's, so 47 is practically over due.
 
Fewer morning erections due to age I get but not having sensation in my penis due to age sounds horrible.

If this is sudden onset, you might have additional nerve impingement. In fact, even if it's been a gradual development/worsening of symptoms new nerve issues are probably involved. Time to talk to your neurologist and explain what's happening. The sooner the better. The problem with waiting is that if not addressed quickly it becomes irreversible.

Loss of morning wood is age related to some extent, but shouldn't be a total loss at 47. Loss of feeling in the penis happens with diabetes due to nerve damage to the penis, but not really like you're describing. Contact a nerve specialist.
 
I'm 47 and i have noticed a loss of sensation down below. It is worrisome but I still have some sensation and I find that I last even longer than normal--and I've always took my time. It is age related and if you still have enough sensation to still enjoy sex it can actually be a good thing. I think the last time i had sex with my wife in this condition she came around 15 times or more.

Still, it is worth talking to a doctor about this in case it is something more serious or if there is something that can be done. In fact I'm seeing my doctor in around a half-hour.
 
I am age 59 and I still experience intense penis erections despite being totally bladder and bowel incontinent despite my Cerebral Palsy.
I admit that it is comforting to touch my erect penis.
It still works.

 
Yes, I too think you're too young to be experiencing a decrease in sexual sensation, so it may be increasing nerve damage. If your doctor has recently put you on blood pressure medicine, that can cause it as well as other medications.

After an accident last year badly breaking leg and ankle etc
I ended up needing painkillers for quite some time and a consequence of those is dulled sexual sensation lower libido and even difficultly or delay in climax
Which at times was a good thing but overall problematic but a known issue with strong painkillers that most Drs don't mention. I'm not sure on your situation but could be a factor worth considering

I became impotent at about the same time as my incontinence problems started. I went to the Doctors and found out I was diabetic and probably had been for a long while. I have diabetic related neuropathy in that area so my incontinence and impotence cannot be cured. I can still ejaculate but very rarely get a full erection now. My incontinence steadily worsened to the point where I have little bladder control most of the time and am dependant on nappies. I usually get my sexual relief about once a week when I hump my wet nappy too a mind blowing orgasm.
