Anyone fly in diapers?

I think quite a few people would be grateful for having a diaper on when exiting an airplane at altitude... for (1) reason or another (2)

For experienced skydivers, we're too hopped on adrenaline to be worrying about that. For first timers, the range of reactions is almost comical. I've seen first-time tandem skydivers landing in all states: euphoric high, just kind of 'meh' attitude, green at the gills, covered in their own vomit, with pants soaked from losing bladder control (don't think I have heard of one losing bowel control though), and what we call 'dead stick'--unconscious from stimulus overload. The rate that each of those happens is pretty much in the order I listed them from most common to least.

As the title says, has anyone flown in diapers. I did once, this will be my first international trip wearing. They do set off the scan unit, and they wand you. Curious to see if they go more in depth with an international trip. Anyone ever receive extra screening while wearing?

When I was twenty two I learnt to fly. I ended up getting a job at my flying school as tarmac crew and spent a lot of time socialising with the instructors and charter pilots (boy they drink a lot I can tell you) Well can you guess what heaps of pilots of small aircraft carrying passengers wear just in case. You guessed it. Pilots are huge diaper wearers and plenty of them have to go through Airport Security if they fly in and out of major airports which they do. Hey. How many of you diaper lovers got hooked on them because you became pilots? Come on...don't be shy. We understand how easy it is to become hooked once the initial trepidation fades away.

Come to think of it. Wouldn't surgeons and nurses wear diapers in the theatre especially during long operations?

Apparently this is nit much of a thing for military or commercial pilots. I can see small plane pilots would be in a different situation though.

Unless you have a wet diaper or metal in the diaper don't think they will pat you down.

I missed Biggles's post but there you go. Now I don't want to put Biggles on the spot, and it's none of our business of course but if Biggles would like to...?

Did your DL start before you needed them or were you a DL before you became a pilot?

I fly in diapers as a pilot I have worn them numerous occasions and they have been not only comfortable but very useful on extended cross country flights

I always Fly Diapered for my convenience and I don't care If it sets off body scanners they have multiple diapered people a day at airports so they don't care really all they care about is making your trip safe and secure. I usually wear either Super Dry Kids V2 or Cushies V2. Been searched once since I was wet and had to pull my pants down but that was It they seen my super cute Super Dry Kids soaking wet and they let me go without any questioning.

I've been patted down anyways, diaper not required. And I've said before, I've gone through in a soaked diaper before and was let right through (I had planned on changing first but was running way late).

if you drink enough water your pee does not have a notable smell that others will pick up on, I even asked my best friends to let me know if they could smell anything and they never have, just drink water and keep hydrated, and avoid alcohol while in flight and wear a good quality diaper

I think I'm weird in this respect that my pee does smell a little.

If I wore plastic pants and a good nappy I'd probably be OK - but am a long way off having the courage to try it on a plane.

One day...

a wet diaper even with strong pee smell isn't going to be super noticeble with plastic backed diapers

Thanks Rennecfox. That is reassuring. I think you are right and it is wearing the right nappy - and maybe plastic pants too.

Its no big deal. No one really notices because everyone is in a rush to their terminals. even on the plane, no one even cares. but its so so exciting!

I fly in diapers because they help me relax. I am super affraid of flying

I used up the last of my diapers with flight powers a while back, so these days I mostly stay on the ground.

More seriously, I'm currently 24/7, so if I needed to fly, I might keep wearing. I'd avoid being wet going through the check line for sure.

The few times I have flown while padded, I did so after going through security. To me, it just makes for a smoother security check and keeps things moving. Once through, i take my carry on to the rest room and put one one. Very easy and no worries.
Plastic backed diapers should hide any smell for most flights.
For me, I am not a fan of going while in a sitting position. I fear of leaks and it becomes difficult to relax. So I end up having to get up and go in a standing position, which means, if not in an isle seat, it can be an inconvenience. So now I rarely wear on flights anymore.

This just means you need to be using better diapers.

I put on my plastic underpants in the terminal bathroom along with a disposable. Or if I wear training underwear through the scanner that is no big deal, then I put on my plastic underpants in the gate bathroom. I can sleep on the flight and not worry about waking up "having to go".

Actually, I do wear very good ones when traveling (Dry 24/7 or an M4), but I still am not comfortable going in public (like sitting right next to someone in a seated position). I always get the sensation I may leak, even though I don't. It just makes me get up and check. So I would rather go when standing. Same when driving. I have a hard time realeasing in a car. But once I get up to pump gas, I can go easily.

It's been a long time since I flew, but the next time I fly I want to be diapered. My plan would be to go through security without a diaper, and then go to a restroom to put it on and keep it on for the rest of the travel.

Ah, I see. They don't actually leak, you're just afraid they will. Well the only way to overcome a fear is by confronting it. Wear a diaper and sit next to someone. Wet the diaper, but do not get up. At least not right away. (This is what incontinent people aready do anyways).

Eventually after doing this enough you will come to realise it isn't that big of a deal after all. It will also become easier for you to wet as well. And eventually that fear will go away too.

I dont fly the airlines...i use my own plane. One time i stripped down to my diaper once i leveled off

Um..no

I have not met one pilot who used diapers and i have been with alot. I used the relief tube on a WW2 fighter. Bjg jets have either a lav or a kit that folds in your flight bag
