    Maybe it's time you stop damning God, and adk God for help instead.

    Awww. *hugs* I've had lightning strike my house before. For the most part, it traveled "safely" down from the lightning rods, but on the way it fried several electronics. The thing is, I typically enjoy thunderstorms, and if the lightning doesn't seem too severe I'll often go outside to feel / smell the wind and rain. I'm a little weird of course. ^^; I've considered becoming a storm-chaser.

    It can be really scary when it wakes you, though. I had one strike that was so close that I actually saw the entire sky light up a deep electric blue, quickly followed by a strong red. I think what I was seeing was the underside of a "storm sprite".

    WTF? This seems pretty off-topic to me.

    I once was sleeping in my room as it struck nearby, and I was screaming so loud, that my sister had to come inside, close the windows and the blinders and calm me down.

    Also, can we ignore religious posts, please? This doesn't help.

    Binary: Oi, God! What the hell's this racket?
    God: Oh, sorry about that. The gods are having a party and Thor's been on the Ambrosia again! I'll tell them to keep it down a bit for you, mate.

    If only life were that easy!

    Personally ... I don't think that has anything to do with your anxiety lol. Lightning hitting anywhere that close always would freak me out for a good while. It's not even that I am scared of it either, I just know it's dangurous and it's something a person should absolutly be cautious about.

    Lightning is pretty scary shit! You deserve a hug.
    One rainy day about ten years back I was exercising my junk to some internet porn and CRACKKKK!!! Lightning struck a tree in my neighbor's yard about thirty feet from my window. God missed me or sent a warning or something. The tree finally fell over this year and I still fap to internet porn but I keep an eye on the weather.

    My house was hit and it is an unnerving experience. Our in laws were staying with us at the time which was a good thing. My father in law was very knowledgeable in wiring and rewiring a house. We had to replace the wire to the kitchen ceiling light, which we did together.

    Lightning strikes can be very dangerous, so being shaken by them is a reasonable response. Like some others here, I enjoy a nighttime storm, but only within reason. When they start to get to the dangerous level, I get nervous.

    See, I go outside in them... if it doesn't seem too dangerous, then I want to FEEL the storm. Day or night. o.o;;

    I've done that. Don't you love the smell of ozone after a big, close strike!
