My town sucks and we have crappy internet also. We're paying for the fastest package of 25mbps and were usually only getting 15 and when playing games we still get a lot of packet loss. So even though my ping is like 60 the game still lags and loses connection.

I think everyone "belongs" on the Internet, but it can be a little intimidating if you aren't accustomed to it. I've become a little bit fogey-ish about it myself; I've never even used Tapatalk! Don't feel bad, and press on... I think you'll be glad you did.
