I am training myself off my thumb and onto a pacifier and I just found these cool paci clips for mams. I never seen them before and they are awesome.
They have an attachment that you can swap onto other holders
They are so worth it and cost the same as a pacifier would.
Basically how I am going to do this is by putting a paci in my coat pocket, etc. But everytime I have an urge to suck my thumb, replace my thumb with the paci. I have to say it's working well at the moment. I find it cuter that i have lots of pacis I can choose from rather than my thumb looking funny. (Sighs) if only pacis were fashionable among adults.
Even sucking your thumb is not considered normal yet so many people do it!
