3DS: Animal Crossing

I have become a pretty good fan, and had to reset my city to enjoy it all again. I however hear that one could play multiplayer on it, and it looks like fun, but its like passing friend codes and stuff. Anyone willing to play? How does it really work?:smile:

Oh man I used to play New Leaf so much. Have around 500 hours give or take put into it. Haven't played it in a long while, but you can play multiplayer by buying a Club Tortimer membership at the island (costs medals you get in island tours not actual money). That links you with random players from your country or worldwide.

Another way to play online is by exchanging friend codes. One of you goes to the train station to open your town to visitors (talk to the monkey Porter I believe his name was) and he'll open the gates for you. Once it's open anyone on your friends list can go to him and choose visit town and they'll be linked up to the town with the open gates. Up to 4 people can be in a single town at once.
