Get the best of both worlds and just trim it as short as you can without making it so short it becomes prickly.

As for the original topic, I've never once used a barrier cream. For me, simple wipes and a daily shower is fine. Staying well hydrated helps a lot too.

Yeah in LTCH the staff usually will clean the inco's when they change them and slather on an anti mold agent, smells nasty and is over treating everyone for a problem that affects few, shave it and save it for those that need it , all inco's have different skin.
