Mid-90s Pampers and when was cloth-backed introduced?

Where did you hear that? I saw a snugglers ad from 2001 that introduced "breathable" "soft" covers. As for Huggies it was as early as 1999 from what I could find.

    Is ABU changing their name?

Thanks I hoped not. Although it would be better if they added an "in" there. Soon in your diaper stash. To remove any confusion.

    Is ABU changing their name?

I see on their twitter page https://twitter.com/ABUDiapers that ABU has in their profile name: AB Universe soon -> Your Diaper Stash. It's on their other country's pages too but no information about it or tweets. Did I miss something I don't keep up to date with ABDL news that often.

ABU SDK plastic feels like the Simple Ultra

I bought a pack of SDK recently and noticed the plastic feels just like the simple ultra. This was a batch when the incorrect "light blue" backing was applied making it look darker. See this thread: https://www.adisc.org/forum/threads/changes-to-abu-sdks.139849/ I actually really like the...

    Rearz... Tykables... You're missing out!

I am sure this post was made with good intentions. However, it firstly doesn't really provide any information on what Rearz and Tykables would be "missing out" on. Creating a marketing campaign (if so how)? Educating people on nappies (if so how)? Normalizing Nappies (if so how)? Protecting...

Why do cloth-backed nappies work for babies but not adults?

Oh I've tried a few different ones (abena, molicare and tena) and for the most part they're alright. However I find the tabs after a bit of pressure tend to come off. e.g. I lift my leg up high and one of the tabs pop off. Never had that with sticky tabs. They also stretch at the sides after a...

Why do cloth-backed nappies work for babies but not adults?

Sadly I don't think we have that brand here in Australia so I can't try them. Do they sag or stretch much? That's a common problem I've had with cloth-backed nappies and their stretching sides.

Why do cloth-backed nappies work for babies but not adults?

We see that baby nappies are all but cloth-back as of today and it is clearly accepted among parents and apparently they work well. I read on an Australian archived website from 2003 about a brand of nappies that was making the transition from plastic to cloth-backed with parents recommending...

About the new trends. Please sign this petition to prevent the manufacturers from banning plastic on adult diapers.

Exactly what I was saying. No disagreement there. True. Nappies are more essential items especially for adults who desire discreet wearing and that they wick and hold moisture better than any cloth nappy would. You also make a good point that there are plenty of better alternatives in which a...

    I told my sister!!

That's nice to hear that they're supportive (I hope). Did you tell them because you had a medical condition or you just chose to? How did that happen?

About the new trends. Please sign this petition to prevent the manufacturers from banning plastic on adult diapers.

I think semantics don't really matter. You're right, manufacturers don't ban things. Governments do though. That's what I am sure OP meant. I think what OP's concern is, is that governments may decide as part of their political agenda to appear "more green" and environmentally friendly to...

Why Are Depends Being Mentioned So Often?

It's actually pretty crazy because Huggies (also owned by Kimberly-Clark) make the highest quality baby nappies on the market or one of them at least yet when it comes to adult nappies they don't give a care and they're the worst of the bunch. EDIT: I wish Depends were good and plastic backed...

What current adult nappy has the plastic that feels the most vintage?

Thanks. So when you say latter era does that mean my era? I'll check out both either way. Would be great if the baby nappies never transitioned to cloth. I still don't really know why either. I guess because it's because it's "soft" which started out as a "competitive advantage" for huggies but...

Should i tell my parents i like diapers?

You propose that because parents are "stuck with us" that means we shouldn't tell them things that are stigmatized? Adult men liking little pink plush toys targeted towards young girls is not exactly on the "normal" radar yet my parents know and even buy me princess things or toys for presents...

Should i tell my parents i like diapers?

I don't think you can really claim what "almost certainly" all parents would do. Jayson above gives an example of it being perfectly fine. I also just told my dad about my new my little pony plushie I bought and he asked questions about it and what it looked like etc. Parents can be accepting...

    My wife found my diapers

And she wonders why you hid it from her? If her response is "pretend you liking nappies doesn't exist" then it seems perfectly reasonable to not have told her all these years and hid your wearing from her, since that's exactly what she clearly wanted anyway. It baffles me some of the logic...

What current adult nappy has the plastic that feels the most vintage?

Yeah must of just missed those days for me sadly. The rebranding of snugglers to huggies essentials hurts a bit too because I didn't wear huggies. Even still none of the baby nappies fit me so not like it really matters I guess. Doesn't stop me feeling the need to buy baby nappies everytime I...

Should i tell my parents i like diapers?

You'd tell your parents you're in love with your girlfriend but you wouldn't describe your sex life. You can say you like to wear nappies, you don't have to let them know anything about sexuality. If I did tell my parents I'd say they help me sleep better, they're convenient, comfortable, give...

    My wife found my diapers

Give her time to take it all in. Just please don't get sucked into the 'therapist' cycle. A lot of partners do this. She isn't going to therapy to help herself understand you and your nappies, she is 'going to therapy' because she wants you to be told you're crazy and then she'll have a second...

    My wife found my diapers

Can you really love a woman who asks this of you? I'd be out of there quicker than I could reply an answer to that terrible ultimatum. Just saying if you can't talk to her, then I'd suggest you find another woman. You'll regret it 10 years later, married with kids and kicking yourself about the...
