How is everybody amongst all this Coronavirus stuff going on?

My office closed last Friday and I've been working from home since. We limit our time in public to an hour on Mondays and Fridays for food shopping. We have enough supplies for now. I haven't been wearing because my anxiety manifested itself as temporary bladder leakage due to me constantly...

    Anesthesia for tooth extraction!!!

I used to also. Then they got to be routine and didn't bother me anymore. I would actually much rather get an IV or a blood draw than a flu or tetanus shot. It's not that it's painful, just that it feels weird, just like IVs and blood draws used to. I'm sure if I got IM injections on a regular...

    Anesthesia for tooth extraction!!!

I used to have really bad anxiety (still do, just not about dentistry) so I had to have either oral benzodiazepines or IV midazolam for any treatment. But the last few times, I've just had local anesthesia (lidocaine, benzocaine, procaine, whichever one the dentist likes to use based on...

Subtle ways of showing little side in public

I wish they made PeekABU patches, enamel pins, or polo shirts. I'd wear those to work without hesitation. But it's a no T-shirts rule at the office and I don't wear ball caps. I do have an AB/DL heart patch on my photography gig bag, though.

    9 hour recommendation

I will be traveling from Chicago to Paris (France, not Texas) this year. The flight is 9+ hours on the return trip. I intend to pad up right before boarding and drink a normal amount of water and coffee. I'd rather not have to change on the plane but I can if I have to. Can anyone recommend a...

    Disrespect

I just tend to get scared when I know that something I'm doing causes grief or pain to someone else, especially someone facing a disability.

    Disrespect

That sounds reasonable but I keep coming back to the wheelchair (or disabled parking) argument. Some people need them. Others don't. People who don't need them but use them anyway are being disrespectful of those that do need them. I'm reminded of the period where expensive canes were popular...

    Disrespect

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled. I just feel really really bad now knowing that us doing this insults people with legitimate needs and I tend to want to curtail others' behavior. Like a "get your head down" kind of thing. :( And I think this is less about normalizing something that people...

    Disrespect

I'm repeating the original poster from the article. I personally don't care. I'm saying that out of respect for OTHER PEOPLE who may NOT LIKE what you're doing and MAY TAKE OFFENSE, maybe DON'T DO THINGS THAT MAKE OTHERS UPSET AND UNHAPPY, especially when those behaviors are choices, not real...

    Disrespect

Right but like from the thread, just like back braces, leg braces, crutches, walkers, etc. Would someone wear those just because they wanted to? Wouldn't that be the height of disrespect? Or someone using a wheelchair just because they're too lazy to walk. That's definitely disrespectful to...

    Disrespect

Perhaps? I don't know. Here's another quote: Maybe we all should be a bit more low-key about it.

    Disrespect

I came across this thread after googling for some brand reviews: https://www.incontinentsupport.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1853&start=20 I hadn't thought of it that way before. I can definitely understand people dealing with a decidedly unpleasant medical condition thinking that AB/DL folks...

Trying the new Bellissimo V2 tonight

Heh, "Rainbow Week" was what they called the first week in USAF Basic before uniform issue when everyone was still wearing civilian clothes.
