why do doctors want to push pills for incontinence when you dont want them?

At this point there seems to be more mudslinging than actual discussion. And I happened to like the actual discussion. So here is my 2 cents. Let's be fair here BabyLee75, you can't just insult an entire profession then get mad when they defend themselves. Especially when you through up a ton...

why do doctors want to push pills for incontinence when you dont want them?

Another med student perspective here. Sorry for the long post. I can say that doctors do not get kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies for prescribing medications. Does it happen sometimes illegally? Possibly, I have never seen it, neither has another physician in my family but that...

How to Tell Your Partner about Your AB/DLism (Advice from a non-AB/DL partner)

Hi koda42! First, congrats on finding someone special! Second, that is a really good point. I think the biggest risk to trust is lying or the sin of omission. I don't think it would be fair to expect everyone to divulge every personal detail if the subject hasn't been brought up between two...

How to Tell Your Partner about Your AB/DLism (Advice from a non-AB/DL partner)

Alpha wanted to wear with me (I can't speak for other DLs). Participating can take different forms besides wearing though. For example, some DLs really enjoy being changed by their significant other or even just showing their partner their 'stash'. I think part of the desire for partners to...

How to Tell Your Partner about Your AB/DLism (Advice from a non-AB/DL partner)

Hi everyone, I was supposed to post this in a thread way back in like November, but after working on it I decided I would just do a separate post. I’ve seen a lot of posts about deciding about whether or not to tell people about being an AB/DL, and it always generates a fair bit of discussion. I...

    Code Name: Diapers

My boyfriend and I call them diapers, but when we're wearing them, we call it 'going padded', which is a bit more inconspicuous than saying 'diapered'.

    Ingenious hiding places

I'm a girl, and I haven't found a better place to hide diapers than in a tampon/pad box. No one would ever think to look in there and the diapers stay easily accessible.

    Finally doing my formal introduction!

Thank you guys so much for the warm welcomes! It means a lot to someone like me who is new to the community, you guys really know how to make someone feel like part of the group from the get-go.

    Finally doing my formal introduction!

Seeing as she's at the staff level, I think she definitely has me beat in the advice-giving area. I think it would be really cool to be that involved in the community at some point though. But for right now, I'm still a newbie here on ADISC more or less (ergo the 'Contributer' status :P)...

    Finally doing my formal introduction!

Hi everyone! I’m finally getting around to doing my formal introduction. I’m Beta, a college student who was introduced to ADISC by my boyfriend (he goes by Alpha here on the forums). Around a year ago he got up the courage to tell me that he was a DL, after we’d been together a little over a...

    Wife needs help!

Yeah, I'm completely fine with it now. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first. My boyfriend took a lot of time explaining his DL-ism to me and answering any questions I had before I became comfortable with the idea. But today it's just a normal part of our relationship. You mentioned that you've...

    Wife needs help!

Hi! First off, welcome to ADISC! Second, you're not alone, I joined ADISC when my boyfriend told me he was a DL a few months back, so I know it can be a sort of overwhelming piece of news to receive. I had never even heard the term AB/DL before my boyfriend introduced me to the community. So...

Does anypony else like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

I am definitely a brony (there doesn't seem to be a catchy term for female fans yet). Personally, I like the new series over the original. The idea that female characters can actually have depth and be unique is really refreshing. The fact that the 'lessons' are actually useful for that age...

    Unique Avatars

I've noticed that there are a lot of people that have really unique/interesting avatar pictures. So I was wondering, is anyone willing to share why they chose the avatar they did? Where did the idea come from? How does it represent you? I'll go first. My avatar is part of a larger piece I did...

    who has changed your diaper

My boyfriend has changed me and I've changed him. He introduced me to DLism, so he has a lot more experience diapering. He still usually ends up fixing the taping whether I'm diapering him or myself, but I'm getting better at it.

    How do I tell her?

My boyfriend is pretty much strictly DL, but it's hard to learn about just one part of the AB/DL community, so I got familiar with both sides. He actually used a really useful graphic ( http://understanding.infantilism.org/infantilism_abdl_triangle.jpg ) to show me where he is on the spectrum...

    How do I tell her?

My boyfriend actually is a DL and told me about it a while back. I'll admit that it wasn't an easy conversation. You really need to be sure that you can trust your girlfriend with this part of yourself. If you see your relationship becoming long term, then you probably should tell her. If your...
