Which fan should I get to cool down this boiling hot room, I could get this one.

Which one would be better off, overall? I'm guessing high velocity means it's faster and cooler?

'high velocity' just means high speed, or fast, not faster than any other.
i'd get the cheaper one, but i'm a cheapskate.

I'm not sure there would be much difference between the two. You could get a commercial shop fan. I had one and it would almost blow the furniture out of the room.

I would be checking them to work out which one is quieter as either will blow air, problem with Big W no matter how nice some of the staff are it's hard to find one that knows the products.

If you are boiling get yourself a peppermint stick or similar to rub into your temples before jumping in front of the fan to help pull some excess heat away.

Get a Big Ass Fan. That's the actual brand, they rock, Google it. Hahaha!

their website's no better: the costlier one has it's wattage in the 'overview' rather than the 'specs' whilst the cheaper one hasn't even got it's wattage listed.
