Answering the door

I'm not ashamed to open the door wearing just a robe, but maybe that's just me. :)
The day before yesterday was the first time I remember answering the door in diapers. I remembered to put on my slightly oversized shorts before going to the door. From the front, you can barely tell.

I haven't purposely answered the door in just a diaper...… That said about a year and a half ago I went to bed early as I get up at 0300 and my wife stayed up coming to bed later. As soon as my alarm went off, my phone rang. I answered it and it was a lady asking if I was ok. Thinking it was someone I had talked to the prior evening who was going through a rough patch and needed to talk. I said yes, how are you? Sha again asked if I was ok, then advised me she was the dispatcher for our Police Dept. She said our alarm company have called saying we had an alarm and door open. There is no alarm going off so I say we are fine.
I got out of bed and headed to the dining room to get dressed for work as I do not get dressed in our room to let me wife sleep. The phone call struck me as odd so I grabbed a handgun with light I keep in our room and headed out. When I reached the end of the hall I shined the light at the front door and saw it was wide opened. I was not concerned as our dog which sleeps in our room was not barking.
As I walked past the front door with phone in one hand, gun in the other and wearing only a very wet diaper, I hear "Good morning Sir", I turn and there are 2 police standing on our porch. I quickly apologize walk into our dining room and set my pistol down and throw on basketball shorts to go talk to them. Fortunately we host a national night out BBQ every year so they know is, unfortunately they know us and I see all 3 of them on a somewhat regular basis. To top things off as I am talking to them apologizing for my wife not locking the door and them looking everywhere but making eye contact I notice the light on their body cam is on so they have a recording of me in just my diaper for the whole station house to see.

That body cam is more just in case there is a question about there actions - other wise, I doubt anyone is going to care what was recorded - and it does not sound like there is any reason for anyone to question anyone's actions in that case so...

I'd say the stuff the police often see an adult in a diaper probably is in the category of odd but not particularly of interest.

The town police came to my house to do a wellness check about 5 years ago responding to a request from my neighbors who hadn’t seen any activity from me for a while. I had quit taking a number of medications that I was prescribed for chronic pain management and for some reason was sitting in my living room buck naked when they knocked. The front door has a half window that is semi opaque and I stood behind the door and spoke with the officers through my screen door when they insisted on coming in and did so breaking the latch. Let’s just say things went downhill from there and I ended up under observation for the next week. Since that experience I’ve become quite particular about what I’m wearing, or not wearing, when I answer my door. Still....stay padded!

One of lots of reasons why the only time they ought be able to force there way in is if they have a warrant (and there should be no such thing as a "no knock" one) and those obtained only after convincing a judge that there is most likely some criminal activity going on at that address.
No other reason is ever acceptable as far as I am concerned. Even if you say medical issues - then I'l say then let the medical team do it without police escorts - period!

Due to my IC, I have to answer the door when I order food in just a shirt and a diaper (It is sometimes wet)

Never had a door moment. Have had a window moment... I live in and flat and I am overlooked by another block. So there’s me chilling in only a nappy, pretty sure the woman opening her curtains saw me. Although its a fair way away on the otherside of the road, it’s likely she did see. Oh well. Can’t do much about it now...

I certainly felt that way at the time although looking back now, and knowing my small town police department, I don’t think that there was any malice on their part. That is the type of authority that is very susceptible to abuse however and I have to agree about the no knock warrants, especially after what happened to that women EMT being killed in her own bed when the police executed a no knock warrant for a person that they already had in custody. Personally, I believe she would’ve been a much more worthy symbol for the BLM movement than that woman abusing, drug doing, counterfeit passing Floyd. That being said, I’m truly thankful that someone takes the job as a police officer as it’s a thankless job that I know that I couldn’t do. Stay padded, just in case the police scare the 💩 out of you it will have a place to go.

I was watching TV sitting on the couch. I was in a diaper, and a satin baby dress with a paci hanging on it. I noticed two guys walk up my walkway to my back door. Where I was sitting was in clear view via sliding glass door. I bolted upstairs and put a robe on. I went back downstairs and went outside to catch the service guys before they left. They said they Saw Someone but they did not come to the door. That someone...me

I was thinking about this incident the other day! Always covered when I answer the door, but this time it was the bottled water guy! Those things are heave, and he's a nice guy, so I helped out, got him squared away. After he left, realized a full 4-5 inches on my bright yellow plastic pants were sticking out, 360* around me! No way he would have missed that!

I sleep in briefs most of the time and occasionally a diaper. I always have sweat pants next to bed and throw them on if someone is at door.

I would not answer the door in a messy diaper, I would change before answering the door.
I would probably wear shorts or pants over my diaper for this occasion

A policeman/officer once was talking to me when I was pulled over and looked inside the car and I had a used one in a bag and I’m pretty sure he knew what was inside the bag … he said something and then said have a great day and moved on but never asked about the diaper lol. Seems like people are embarrassed to see it just as embarrassing as I am that it is in the car

I always place my shorts on a chair in my bedroom so that I can get out of bed, get them, and put them on quickly.

Sorta like a firefighter :D

This is my approach. I'm usually dressed in a way that I wouldn't want to answer the door, so I always prepare some clothes just for that purpose. Depending on how I'm dressed that might be shorts, sweat pants, or a robe, but it's always in the same place so I don't have to think about it.

He was probably thinking, "Well, at least I know all this bottled water is being put to good use." :)
