What Brand Did You Start Out With?

I would take a guess at saying for my first brand I started out with is the Depend Maximum Protection. As for my first AB/DL diaper, I would guess the original Bambino Classico.

My first adult diaper was the Attends with permadry. I believe I was in 6th or 7th grade and I used to steal them from the drug store. Not proud of it now but at the time I couldn’t fathom buying a whole pack of adult diapers. I would rip open a pack and take 2-3 diapers and shove them in my waistband. I started to get too confident and got caught actually wearing one. I was at the mall with a buddy of mine and we went into a drugstore (he was a clepto looking for candy to swipe). We split up and I went directly for the diapers. I grabbed one and shoved it in my pants and went straight to the bathroom. I started to put it on in the stall when someone walked in. I paused until they left and strapped it on like it was no big deal. After meeting back up with my friend we exited the store, then a security guard grabbed my shoulder and flashed his badge. He asked “are you wearing it?” and I just nodded. My friend was totally confused and just stood there. Then he escorted me back to the bathroom to take off the diaper and then to the back office. He started to ask questions like, do you like to wear diapers? Do you like to wear rubber pants? Do you like to wear women’s underwear? He said he saw people ‘like me’ on TV. I denied everything. At the time I didn’t know what he was talking about. I never knew anyone else like wearing diapers....this was probably 1992. He called my mom and she had to come pick me up. I literally wanted to die. I just told her I almost peed myself on the bus ride to the mall. She had no clue what to do or think. I told my friend that I stole cologne and the security guard thought I stole a diaper. She dropped off my friend at his house and we went to a drugstore and she bought a pack of Attends size small. The ironic thing was, there was only one pack left and it was a pack I had swiped from before. I guess the store never noticed the diaper pack was opened. A few days later she took me to the Dr to get me checked out. I had to void in a measuring cup for a week and report back. They found nothing abnormal. My parents never really mentioned it ever again and that was the one and only time they bought me adult sized diapers.
A few years later...maybe 2-3 yrs, that same friend asked me about it again. I guess I made a comment about a joke I saw on the sitcom Blossom. Her dad made a comment he wasn’t leaving from the couch and we was prepared with wearing a ‘depends’. I know my friend knew what I stole but I kept denying it till the end.

Attends with waistband 6 tape in the 90s. They quit making them this year. RIP. They didnt hold a lot but for a lot of people the plastic and fit was amazing and added to the experience that the padding lacked.

The first disposable adult diaper that I tried in the 1980s was a brand called Ambeze (not sure about the spelling). They were not absorbent enough to relay on, and I continued to wear cloth diapers with plastic pants for a number of years. The current brands that I recommend if you need a high-capacity disposable are BetterDry, ConfiDry 24/7, and Rearz Inspire+ InControl.

I bought a few bags of Depend at Wallgreens and wasn't impressed. Later I stumbled on a picture of a gal wearing a bambino (classico, before they had other prints) and ordered a few samples, a bag or two, and then started ordering by the case

Started with baby dips when I was 10, out grew them at age 14 1/2, occasionally bought either depends or store brand adult diapers until my mid 20’s, then ab and other premium diapers came out and it’s been those ever since

My first was the Depend Fitted briefs around 1996 ish when I outgrew my Huggies Goodnites. I came home and found the package of Depend briefs in my bedroom & dad had opened up the diapers & put one on the end of my bed, which is where there would always be a fresh goodnights sitting there for bedtime. I remember I cried because I hated the idea of being back in diapers, even though the goodnites were really diapers too, but they looked just like my underwear & went on the same. Anyway, I didn't even want to look at them and when the night came and I was going to get ready for bed, my mom & dad told me that I had to wear the diapers because they were the next size up from the goodnites that I outgrew.
Needless to say, I went to bed without a diaper on that night & obviously wet my bed & woke to it in the early morning hours.
After sleeping on the floor by the furnace register in my room the rest of the night, I really got scolded about not having a diaper on.
The next night, I unfolded the big diaper that had 6 tapes on it & tried to put it on as my parents were going to ground me if I didn't diaper up.
I did have to have help by my dad because the 6 tapes were just too much for me & I didn't know which order to take when taping them.
They were size small and still very big on me and very crinkly, it was very embarrassing for the first two weeks as I had help from my dad & our family friend Bill who was my baby sitter when younger and he also was a family friend for years.

I eventually got very used to them & ended up liking them & being comfortable in them. I to this day like the old green Depend Fitted briefs & buy them when I can online. I also recently tried Attends with 6 tapes & waistbands from 1995 and I really like them.

My first pack that I bought was Huggies, before they discontinued in the UK. From there I quickly moved on to Pampers and tried Huggies pull-ups, also tried DryNites and other various brands until I bought adult nappies from Boots. Then from there I bought ABDL nappies.

I started with goodnites and quickly got ahold of some crinklz, rearz, and Abu, then I found out about NorthShore and tried all of their diapers, started buying crinklz, megamax, and supreme lite regularly, as well as experimenting with practically every abdl diaper out there. My favorites are probably LittleForBig, megamax, crinklz, dinosaur elite, and peekabu.
