  • Good evening CptKirk, what branch were you in? I was in the PA Army National Guard and then transferred to the Jersey national guard.

Army & then PA Nat Guard. Where in PA were you?
What's everyone's opinion of my new pic? I am likely going to retake it as the black shirt was a poor choice as it hides my dark beard....I figured being I was missing much of my hair I'd shave my head...and grow a monster beard instead LOL. GRAVITY! My one MASSIVE chest has fallen down a foot or so and now my once "beautiful" hair (tongue in cheek/joke) has fallen down to my face!

Can you help me help a friend? He is a DAV and VA is providing his diapers, However he is trying to get better diapers and he needs the information you may have for his VA provider to order North Shore for him. VA tells him they are not on their list to order from, with your help he may be able to get them listed. Thank You

Unfortunately the list is the list there is no getting around it. They only support a few brands and usually it's the diaper company working to get on that list not the other way around.

@SparkyDog Believe it or not I've helped quite a few fellow DV's get their diapers supplied from Northshore. I myself have been getting multiple cases of MegaMax every month although I'm half tempted to try and get a more suitable daytime diaper but don't want to rock the boat, yet.

I had a ton of help from @ParaRomeo and a number of other fellow DVs so all I am doing is paying it forward! Without the help I received from the others, I myself would have never known that I could get a diaper that works as there's nothing in the VA formulary that works for me at all.

I need to post some more before answering you, but thanks for reaching out!
My favorite ATV. I have 4...being a professional over-educated "mechanic" has its' benefits! Buy 'em broke, rebuild them for 1/4-1/2 what they'd cost otherwise. I only have 2 at my house. Then my youngest son "claimed" my Arctic Cat THE DAY I BOUGHT IT, when he was 12 or 13!!! You guessed it! he has that one.

Found this sitting in a garage in Oct 2017. I was asked to go look at an old Vette he had and inquired about this ATV. He bought it brand new in May '01, rode it throughout 2001, then got his girlfriend (now wife) pregnant and this sat since. Only time it moved was when he removed it from his parents garage to a barn on his new property. STILL doesn't have 100 hours on it!

Don't see MANY 23 year old machine in this condition. ALL non-mechanical parts are 100% original. Only non original parts = tires, camshaft, larger intake + carburetor and every single fluid (engine oil/filter, differential gear oils & brake fluid)....

FINALLY have my "toy" immaculate and running like a raped ape again. Sadly it sat in Tennessee since I left in '19 and hadn't been able to get back to do any work due to my body going "ballistic" after a pair of back surgeries.

I'll have to repost this....redid the front bars and lights as I couldn't see SHIT with these aftermarket lights! Stripped the bars to bare metal, coated with a ZINC primer, then epoxy primer and eventually paint with a "hammered" texture. Hard to believe this machine is 23+ years old. Built in Jan 2000, sold in May 2001.

    O' memories....
Never had one, but repaired a few (inc. the lads' of the street scramblers). Coincidentally, this morning's sunlight highlighted the scar on my finger from working on one.

I have more scars, work induced (majority being automobiles/trucks) than I can recall! I've shredded skin (lots of stitches), 2nd & 3rd degree burns (ever see skin MELT/drip off of your body? It's not a good time!) and must have smashed my head open (only once did I go for stitches,) so many times it may explain WHY I'm as crazy as I am!

HURTING! My lower back has gone ballistic, again. Last time it was "this bad" I wound up unable to stand or walk for over 18 months! Wound up with a pain pump implant that got me back on my feet but had to be replaced in '12 and then had to come right back out 6 weeks later due to a MASSIVE Staph infection. I can't go that route today. Need a miracle.

Maybe...All I know is I had to break up my post into 5-6 pieces to make it fit
I did not get injured in combat or anything like that. I fit right in with the "Gulf War Syndrome" guys as I collapsed with a 106 fever within 48 hours (roughly) of having over a dozen "inoculations" right at the beginning of the 1st Gulf War in August 1990. I spent 7-10 days in a hospital, delirious with VIOLENT jackhammer chills ravaging my body, which served to amplify the pain I felt in my body, especially head.

Yeah, it's hard to contain yourself when met with a mocking, sneering, goading, privileged prick (I had one very recently and lost it a bit; I'll be suffering the consequences for that).

@ade Fuck 'Em! They deserve to have their teeth knocked down their throats every now and again! Besides, it is INCREDIBLY satisfying...even better than an ice cold beer on a hot/humid day after 10 hours of hard work....seeing someone go down, unconscious and lying in their own blood is damn near better than sex! I admit it! I REALLY miss those days!
