Still haven’t found any close ups of the “Stages” range that came between the Advanced Ultra and Performers ranges. I suppose they were short-lived...

That said, the ones I remember swiping (thick, rubbery plastic, blue waistband) looked just like the Advanced Ultra nappies shown here, so maybe they were the same nappy in different packaging?

The 1989 advert mentions two lines of nappies being sold, the "All in One Elasticated" and the "Ultra Absorbent" with adjustable waistband. Maybe the folks in marketing decided "Stages" would sell better than all in one elasticated?

Yes!! I remember these sooo well. Oh my goodness. The first 1991 ad...this was 100% one of the two nappies I found at home that really started my love of nappies.

That would make total sense year wise, and also as my mum did all the shopping at Sainsbury’s

I was hammering away without finding anything...and something occurred to me...Sainesbury's is a massive enterprise and been around for ages -- I bet they have a museum or archive. They do!

A quick search should pull it up.

I did, thank you very much. I only ever saw the product once and that was old stock in an old fashioned pharmacy. Sadly I never got my hands on any. Brilliant to see!

Are you a fan of the UK children's resuable products / cloth training pants of the 80's - 90's at all?

I believe I have some good quality catalog images.

And I have a few pairs of some UK children's pants, one in particular is a bit of a rarity -- in the mid to late 90's Kushies made a largely unknown line of training pants for much much older kids, like 2.5 - 3x bigger than the xxl size they make now, and they were sold in the UK through PerfectlyHappyPeople (later as inconfidence.co.uk).

I remember the Perfectly Happy People website. I think they did an all in one slip style reusable.

I’m very much a plastic backed disposable enthusiast with an interest in disposable Pull-Ups.

I’d be delighted to see any more product images of that sort from the 80s and 90s especially, I’d love to see any supermarket nappies from that time as they’re especially hard to find pictures of.

The one's I'm talking about were not part of the Freestyle line (Freestyle was still a great product though).

The model for the special sized Kushies (Kooshies pre 1998) training pants sold by InConfidence / Medicare was BAH1511. Give me a sec and I'll dig up the Wayback pages.

OK, at medicair.co.uk, the earliest ones I could find on Wayback were sold as model CAA215 down at the bottom of the page. I know they had already been out 3-4 years at least by 1999. I think InConfidence had quite a bit of the old stock on hand and didn't actually sell out of them until around 2011-2012. I believe it was old stock because mine have the old pre-1998 "Kooshies" label tag. The waist fit was listed at 26-32" but the sizing was very very generous. The waist fit and rise height proportions were approximately what would today be something like a men's medium.

The patterns and designs available changed once or twice, but the entire BAH line (BAH1509 - BAH1511) could be purchased with "fun prints" which were same prints Kushies used for their training pants at the time. I think there were 7-8 different fun prints all together. The CAA to BAH prefix change happened sometime between 1999 - 2001 -- The product description was copied straight over from the CAA.
